SPA 1978 (Formerly SPA 1899) DONGINBI Red Ginseng Ritual & Therapy

This was my first time getting anything like this and let me tell you, it was amazing! I went with the full care package and it was definitely worth it. The massage itself would have been worth it alone but the skin care that was done left me glowing. I don't know what they did exactly but it feels as if my skin has been restored fully. I highly recommend coming here and treating yourself, they will take care of you.

Gangnam SPA 1899 series uses 6-year-old Korean red ginseng top skin care product facia and full body massage. The full 2.5-hour treatment includes facial, body, and foot shampooing treatments, which you can choose individually. Beforehand, you have to fill out the form and drink ginseng tea first. The aromatherapy room is a full suite with very complete equipment. There are bathrobes in the clothes rack (disposable slippers and paper trousers with a password set). The security is very good. This time I chose the full-body red ginseng oil bath, which is more chilling than the single bath! After about 20 minutes of bathing, I returned to the aromatherapy room to start the treatment. The first was a back massage with red ginseng essential oil. Smell the fragrant pine back essential oil massage, and add my favorite hot compress during the process. During the process, you will be asked whether the strength needs to be adjusted.) When turning over, a towel will be used to protect the privacy of the customer. The facial treatment focuses on massaging the face to absorb the red ginseng essence. There is no pimple squeezing step. After a simple cleansing, I actually had my eyes trembled. Stuffy nose. When I returned to the reception area after the treatment, the service staff had already prepared hot tea and snacks of dried red dates and persimmons for me.

The 3-hour experience was very satisfying. The technicians were skilled, and you could feel their dedication throughout the entire process. They went all out to provide excellent service. If you have the time, I recommend trying it out. After completion, there was also a small gift ornament, and there was absolutely no hard selling of any products or services. Thumbs up!

The spa is really far away given I’m going from Myeongdong. First I thought it’s run by the ginseng brand but looks like it’s just a high end spa using the red ginseng products. Unlike Sulwhasoo product which I can obviously smell the ginseng flavour of their ginseng series, I don’t smell a strong ginseng scent during the facial. The package includes face and upper body massage, it was pretty good overall, but not the best massage so had. The time spent on body massage is more but personally I like face massage better. anyway. I good experience to try spa/facial in Seoul the beauty state and if you are near Gabgnam area.

A great experience. The technician didn't mess around with anything for 3 hours. He pressed the massage very well from head to tail. The environment was comfortable and it was an absolute pleasure!

It's near the hotel! A great SPA! The masseur is professional and the red ginseng essential oil smells great. Soaking your feet in red ginseng water is very comfortable and relieves a day's fatigue. Be sure to book in advance. This time I only booked one hour, and next time I will book 2 or 3 hours!
