Highly recommended

Our tour guide, Iain, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the locations we visited. Although there were only 4 of us attending the tour, it was fun and cozy. We also learnt a lot about Scottish history and its relevance with Outlander. 10/10 recommended!

What to expect

Step into the magnificent world of hit TV series 'Outlander' on this day tour! Outlander is based on Diana Gabaldon's historical time travel book series of the same name. It's about a married World War II nurse, Claire Randall, who in 1945, finds herself transported back to 1743 Scotland where she encounters the dashing Jamie Fraser, a highland warrior. On this tour, you'll follow in the footsteps of Claire and Jaime as you explore the Scottish countryside! The first stop is Doune Castle. This is a magnificent late 14th century example of the courtyard style, and is the castle used for the Mackenzie home Castle Leoch. Then make your way to Falkland, the scene of Inverness, before exploring Culross. Some other attractions you'll visit are Midhope Castle, Blackness Castle, and Linlithgow Palace. This is a tour of a lifetime for the real die hard Outlander fan!
