Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace 1-Day Tour

Iris is a very great guide. She attended to all my questions via wechat as I was bringing an 18 month old baby. We used a stroller at Terracotta (minimal lifting required) and a baby carrier at the Huaqing palace. She paid attention to our needs throughout the tour and allowed us to take a break in the bus. Furthermore she even helped us get back earlier by didi as we didnt take the whole tour because of our baby though we didn't mind waiting as that is the last tour for the group. It was a great tour and these are must see places.

Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace + "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" Performance

The itinerary was quite packed, and towards the end it felt a bit rushed, like we were being hurried along. It felt like we were marching all day. There's a lot of walking involved, so keep that in mind if you have elderly people or children with you. Lunch was included, and it was... filling. There's a cost for the electric vehicle inside the park (around 20 RMB), but it's necessary to purchase it because the park is so large. Every guide's explanation was excellent, and they taught us a lot in an easygoing way. Without the explanations, you'd just be skimming over things and only seeing some antiques. It's really convenient that all the entrance tickets are included.

I thought visiting the Terracotta Army would be boring. After all, it's just looking at antiquities, and it's even more dull if you don't know its origins and stories. But I want to say: unexpectedly, our guide on this trip, Xiaojia, was amazing! She knows Chinese history incredibly well! She really has the ability to take us back to that time~ Not just a few words and then "next" to see the next one 😍 I really liked how she analyzed the bronze horse, saying things like "Look at the sword on this person's hand and the arrows on their left side, and you can imagine what position this person held..." She's someone who is very patient and passionate about history. I wish I could take her history class~ I think I would get a high score in my history class!

The tour guide was very dedicated, explained everything clearly, and provided historical and travel information at all times. The tour bus picked us up directly from the hotel, which was convenient, and we even had a buffet lunch arranged in the afternoon.

Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace + "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" Performance

I was simply overwhelmed by the sheer number of Terracotta Warriors and the intricate sculptures, each with its own unique expression and features. This first-time, in-person experience offered a powerful impact that photos can never convey, and I felt a renewed appreciation for the greatness of Emperor Qin. As of January 20, 2026, I understand that excavation work is still ongoing, which makes me feel an even grander sense of romance.

Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace 1-Day Tour

Our tour guide, Deng Jun, is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of detailed information. I was asked if I was fine with a Mandarin-speaking guide, but I did not expect her to speak at such a fast speed. She also spoke in a high pitch, and the microphone was too loud for a minibus, which made the first hour of the bus ride uncomfortable. The bus was very stuffy, with almost no air at all. Imagine a long journey like this, and at times the driving felt quite rushed and stressful. Overall, the tour planning and scheduling could be improved. We felt that at least 1 to 1.5 hours were wasted, which could have been better used during the very rushed 1-hour visit to the Terracotta Warriors. Lunch, was not suitable maybe more for their locals.

Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace + "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" Performance

The Terracotta Army and Lishan Garden fulfill all imaginations of the Great Qin Empire, while the "Song of Everlasting Regret" at Huaqing Palace is the finishing touch. When the singing and dancing rise under the starry sky and historical stories are reproduced before your eyes, you will be so moved that tears well up in your eyes. The itinerary is compact, the experience is strong, and it is highly recommended!

Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace + "Song of Everlasting Sorrow" Performance

A fantastic day! Not only did we see the "living" Terracotta Warriors, but we also heard a wonderful explanation. The Song of Everlasting Regret performance at Huaqing Palace brought the journey to a perfect close, and the story of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Yang Guifei filled us with emotion.

Review for: Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden + Huaqing Palace 1-Day Tour

An incredible value for a day trip! Not only did I see the magnificent terracotta army, but I also learned more about Qin history at Lishan Garden, and finally, I bathed in the Tang Dynasty imperial bath atmosphere at Huaqing Palace. In one day, from the Qin to the Tang Dynasty, the sense of history was full, and the aftertaste was endless. Highly recommended!

The majesty of the Terracotta Army, the exquisite beauty of Lishan Garden (the bronze chariots and horses are so beautiful), and the historical stories of Huaqing Palace, each point is astonishing. A very enjoyable trip.
