Puffing Billy Railway & Phillip Island Full-Day Nature Exploration

This tour worth every penny you spent. Driver and tour guide Evan is bilingual, he speaks in Mandarin and English. Evan is nice and informative. The itinerary and introduction of everything he provided is clear. we go puffing train railway directly, and spent 2hrs there including having lunch by ourselves. Taking the train is so much fun! If the weather is good, the view is super nice! We love it a lot. The train took around one hour from Lakeside to Belgrave. Then we headed to the Maru Koala animal park. Evan bought the group ticket for everyone, it costs $30 per person cheaper than the original price $33. The zoo has many animal, like kangaroos, white kangaroos, koalas, quokka, alpacas, dingoes, sheep and some reptiles. We can get so close with animal and take selfie, it was a great experience and we enjoyed a lot. Definitely will recommend this tour to everyone visiting Melbourne. The puffing train is one of the must do thing in Melbourne.

What a fantastic day trip! In the morning, we rode the famous Puffing Billy steam train, traveling through the forest and enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. We also experienced the unique thrill of dangling our legs out of the carriage. In the evening, we visited Penguin Island to watch the little penguins return to their nests. Groups of adorable little penguins waddled from the sea back to their burrows, creating a heartwarming and unforgettable scene. Special thanks to our tour guide, whose service was incredibly professional, enthusiastic, and attentive. Throughout the journey, they not only provided detailed introductions to each attraction but also shared many interesting facts. They constantly looked after the needs of the group members, making the entire itinerary very smooth and relaxed. The steam train and the penguin parade are both highly recommended experiences, and with the guidance of an excellent tour guide, this trip was even more perfect. I strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Melbourne!

Our tour guide, Evan, was incredibly attentive and I highly recommend him to everyone. When I couldn't find the meeting point at first, he called me and guided me on how to get there. I felt completely at ease throughout the entire trip with him, and all the activities for the day were fantastic!

This local tour was excellent value for money. We met around 9:15 AM, and the first stop was Rainbow Beach. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, so we weren't really in the mood to enjoy it. The second stop was the zoo. We had already visited other zoos, so we didn't participate in this optional activity. Daniel was great; he knew that the six of us weren't joining, so he drove us to a nearby gas station to rest and wait for the others. We were able to comfortably eat lunch there while waiting for them to return. Next, we headed to the much-anticipated steam train ride. Daniel responsibly instructed us on how to ride the train and where to meet afterward. Finally, we went to see the penguins. It rained all day, and Daniel drove very carefully while also providing commentary along the way. Many thanks to Daniel!

The tour included tickets for Puffing Billy and Penguin Parade. The train took us past the wooden bridge too so that’s great. However the tour would have 50 people on it if 2 hadn’t turned up. With such a big group it meant we had to wait quite a big for everyone to board at every stop. Some people also got lost at Penguin Parade so that’s also time wasted. But our guide Ricky was wonderful. He spoke mandarin and tries his best at english too. I enjoyed his sense of humour.

We had a smooth trip and Shin was a good guide bringing us on time to enjoy the different attractions. He was reliable and ensured that we all have a good time.

I was one of the tourists who joined today’s tour, and I would really like to thank Evan for making the whole experience so enjoyable. Evan was extremely attentive throughout the entire trip.
