What to expect
The design of Prince Gong's Mansion features characteristics of Chinese gardens and princely residences, making it exceptionally grand and magnificent. Its studies, rooms, verandas, and courtyards are intricately arranged, creating a serene and elegant landscape. It shares many similarities with Rongguo Mansion and Grand View Garden described in "Dream of the Red Chamber." According to a textual researcher, Prince Gong's Mansion was where Cao Xueqin experienced life and gathered material when writing "Dream of the Red Chamber." The garden, however, was consciously designed and built by Prince Gong Yixin, who later enjoyed reading "Dream of the Red Chamber," to resemble Grand View Garden. The mansion is open for two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and private English tours are available, ensuring no language barriers for visitors to explore the princely residence.

Reviews
This time we added the Prince Gong Mansion to the itinerary at the last minute. It was very sudden, but the experience was really worth 200 points. Our tour guide was Tianyi, who was really professional in the introduction. He was more willing to spend time to understand the true historical significance and then introduce it to the tourists who came to visit. Don't be fooled by some tour guides on the Internet who have not verified the history. Our tour guide really introduced many small details and historical origins very attentively. I sincerely recommend this itinerary to everyone👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It was excellent! I had an unexpected situation and couldn't arrive on time, but the tour guide was very proactive in helping me resolve it. If I have another chance to participate in the future, I will definitely join again. ✅
