Qingyuan Chimelong Giraffe Castle Hotel

That was an amazing trip! The zoo was huge with lots of animals! You could feed the animals by paying at the counter next to each area! I like the steam train most as you could sit and view many animals without walking!

The Cross-Boundary Coach provides direct bus service to the hotel entrance, making travel much more convenient. The hotel is large and new, and the staff are very warm and polite. It happened to be the Buddha's Birthday holiday, so about 80-90% of the guests were from Hong Kong. Meituan delivery usually requires a minimum order of 100 or a 20 delivery fee, and takes an hour to arrive. The hotel itself has restaurants and a food court, but the prices are high, the taste is average, and there aren't many options. The Forest Kingdom is huge, so much so that your feet will hurt from walking; you can rent an electric sightseeing cart. There aren't many rides, but you can see many animals of all sizes. The Hot Spring Park has many outdoor hot spring pools, most of which are shaded. The water play pools, however, are exposed to the sun all day long. There's a giant ball pit in the hotel's basement, which costs an additional 78 for a full day of play. Overall, the three-day trip was excellent and suitable for families, especially children under 12 who will have the most fun.

This time, we stayed at the Giraffe Castle Hotel for two days and one night with our children. The family room was spacious, and the unique bus bunk beds were a big hit with the kids. However, the room walls were a bit dirty with some stains. The room offered animal views, but we checked in at 12 PM and didn't get our room until almost 5 PM, so we missed seeing the giraffes. The next day, at checkout, we only saw zebras. The family room also included access to the hot spring park, but the hot spring and pool area didn't open until 10 AM. Since checkout was at 11 AM, there wasn't enough time to swim and then return to the room to get ready, making it quite inconvenient to carry luggage in and out. Nevertheless, both the hot spring and pool areas were clean, tidy, and fun. As for the Forest Kingdom park, most areas are outdoors, and the exhibits are small and scattered, making it a bit challenging to visit in the summer. We recommend renting an electric car for getting around. The steam train experience was unique and special; we saw various wild animals along the way, and the guide's commentary was lively and engaging. This was the highlight of our trip, and the children absolutely loved it.

We went for the Easter holiday, staying for three days and two nights. The package included two nights at the hotel and three-day passes to the zoo, hot springs, and amusement park for a family of three, all for less than $2000... a great deal. As soon as we arrived, we dropped off our luggage and headed to the zoo, where we saw many animals up close. There were also amusement rides, a mini-train to see animals, and more. After watching the parade, we returned to the hotel to check into our room. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had a room facing the pool, which was very convenient for accessing it. Since we opted out of daily housekeeping, we received a complimentary dish from the restaurant. We chose the Thai restaurant, and they provided a children's meal, which our daughter loved. The food was delicious. On the second day, we played at the zoo for a bit longer, then went swimming in the pool. The pool area was large with many different pools, so even with a lot of people, it didn't feel crowded. There were warm pools and splash pools... and the hot springs park also had animals. In the evening, we took a car out for dinner and had sauna chicken, which was also very tasty. On the third day, after checking out, we went back to the zoo to take photos and feed the animals. Our daughter was very happy, and our whole family had a wonderful three days. The zoo is huge, with many animals to see and lots of rides, which will definitely satisfy children. The pool is also very large. The only downside is that Meituan delivery isn't available, so you have to pick up food from outside. This means you either eat at the hotel restaurants or take a car out for meals, as the surrounding area is quite remote. The hotel facilities and park close quite early, including the gym, which closes at 10 PM. Basically, after enjoying the hot springs park, there's no chance to use the gym. It would be great if the gym could stay open longer.

We are extremely satisfied with this hotel, it's especially suitable for families! The hotel is large and new, with plenty of space. Besides the themed zoo, there's also a hot spring park, a large water park, a large indoor children's play area, and an arcade (Klook orders include 5 game tokens). Both kids and adults had so much fun they forgot to leave... In fact, two nights and three days weren't enough time to experience everything! Unlike other zoos, the best part was being able to feed adorable animals like giraffes, alpacas, Australian kangaroos, and capybaras up close! After entering the park, remember to book the mini-train online to see various large animals! Chimelong Qingyuan is truly outstanding and well worth a visit... Highly recommended! 👍👍😍😍

We traveled during the off-season. Since my kids had an early Easter break from school, we decided to visit Chimelong Qingyuan. We usually do 3-day, 2-night trips. We arrive a day early, play on the middle day, and then have a day to rest before leaving, so we're not rushed. Chimelong Hotel is always great. We booked a Zebra Room, and when we checked in, we told the staff we wanted to see animals, so we ended up in a Deer Fun Room. After checking in, we immediately went to the Animal Kingdom because our whole family loves animals. We really took our time and enjoyed it until closing. In the evening, we soaked in the hot springs. The next day, we spent another full day at the Animal Kingdom, and then soaked in the hot springs again that night. On the third morning, after checking out, we went back to the Kingdom for another quick tour and played in the water for a bit. We took a direct bus from Hong Kong to the hotel and back, which was very convenient. The hot spring area was also very clean, and there was even a small amusement park, plus owls, parrots, and capybaras to see. The Animal Kingdom is great for kids or animal lovers; otherwise, you might find it boring or feel like there's not much to do and you'll finish quickly. Getting to see the animals up close was really cool. The 'Great Migration' exhibit was a bit underwhelming, but still worth a look; just don't go with high expectations. The animals are more active in the morning. By the afternoon, they start to relax and sleep.

Wonderful experience, so long as the giraff hotel and the theme park. Clean, handy, friendly and well-organised. We have tried everything in this 3 days and filled with funs. Excellent service from all the staff ranging from front desk in the hotel to pet feeders in the zoo. Will definitely coming back!

During Christmas, I took my children to Chimelong and bought a three-day, two-night package. Although it was a little more expensive during Christmas, it included two days of buffet breakfast and one night of buffet dinner, which solved the food problem. Qingyuan Chimelong is relatively far away. It takes an hour for Meituan to deliver. There is a food street below, which provides another option. Hotel facilities close at 10 p.m., and there are no places to play or eat near the hotel, so you can rest early. For transportation, besides chartering a car, the best option is to take the high-speed train to Qingyuan Station and then call a car to the hotel. Enter the zoo early, and you can walk through it in one day. There is food available in the zoo that you can buy to feed the animals. Children can get close to the animals, which is a great experience. Overall, the park and hotel are very clean, just a little far away, and there are no supporting facilities around, so it is relatively troublesome to get in and out. You can only call a car.

We are travelers from Hong Kong. We brought our children and elderly relatives to the hotel for Christmas, for a three-day, two-night stay, which felt just right. The hotel is especially suitable for younger children; there are many activities for those under 10 years old. The park is very close to the hotel, just a 5-minute walk away. We walked to the park every day. I booked a special experience for the children early, which felt very worthwhile. They could get up close and personal with baby animals and feed different animals. The children really enjoyed it. Frankly, the hotel still feels like it's in a trial operation. There are some areas that could be improved, but it feels like it's more of a software issue. For example, after 10 p.m., the park is mostly closed, but the public areas should at least be lit. I remember one day we were playing VR hot springs in the hot spring area, and at 10:00 p.m. when it was time to close, the staff turned off all the lights without saying a word. I can't imagine what would happen if there were still guests inside and they fell. But overall, the hotel is very new and clean. I think the price is very reasonable.

The 3-day, 2-night package is a great value, including two mornings of double buffet breakfast, one night of buffet dinner, and unlimited access to the hot springs and forest during your stay. The hot springs have outdoor and indoor areas, with capybaras in the outdoor area, so cute! There is a sauna, and many hot spring pools. As for the accommodation, the rooms are large and designed for families with children, so the decorations are very cute. Many restaurants in the forest area are not open, so there are few choices. The promotion of the Great Animal Migration looked spectacular, but when we went, we only saw some zebras running over to eat, some birds flying around, some sheep walking around, and finally a group of giraffes walking over to eat...very different from the promotion. The little train to see the animals is not bad. The 3-day, 2-night stay was very fulfilling. There is a direct bus from Hong Kong to the hotel, which is very convenient.
