Hangzhou West Lake boat tour + Lingyin Temple + Tea art fan painting half-day/full-day tour

The tour was the best of our Hangzhou trip as we had a great time with 小邵 who explained the Chinese culture while we were at the temples and taught us how to make incense offerings. Food selection at the halal vegetarian buffet was confusing as the items were not labelled. He kindly offered us food from his tray and told us more about the locals favourite dishes. Our family has a toddler and infant, making the trip challenging. 小邵 brought us to a private room in one of the locals house, and allowed me to use it for breastfeeding. He also paid for our taxi ride back to West Lake after that - all which he didn’t have to. His kind gesture was very much appreciated. Lastly he bought us 莲蓬 at 岳庙 before he departed. We would like to thank 小邵 for his Hangzhou hospitality, just like the weather in September, so warm and inviting! These photos are taken by him too!

Local guide - 孟 is very knowledgeable of the place and Buddhism. Lots of walking but the park is chill and nice.

The guide was fantastic, full of knowledge and willing to share. Accommodating to slow walking elderly too. Be reminded that there are lots of walking, be prepared to walk more than taking bus around.

Great tour with very experienced guide. Explain very detailed and shared a lot of stories. Very knowledgeable about the place. The only thing is didn't expect that the whole trip is by walking, we walked a lot except taking the boat ride. But overall is superb and unforgettable trip.

The tour guide Xiao Shao is very nice. He explains carefully. The itinerary comes with a vegetarian buffet meal. The painted round fan with snacks is a great combination👍. But I will have iron legs 😆

Our guide, Mr Meng is very knowledgeable in history and he is humorous. :) We appreciate him giving us a lot of background information, which made the whole journey very interesting, and he gave us ample time to explore the attractions while also keeping us on time. However, the fan drawing and tea art venue did not feel very welcoming, but Mr Meng's casual chatting with us about the history behind it made up for it. Overall still a nice experience under Mr Meng's guide. Thank you.

Ms. Cheng, our tour guide, was excellent. To help us understand each attraction, she shared detailed background information and its history while we were on the way to the site. She also demonstrated the proper way to pray in a temple.

Well-paced tour despite the rainy weather. The tea art fan painting segment felt more like a filler activity—I would have preferred spending more time at the main attractions. Overall still a good experience with comfortable transfers and a knowledgable guide!

Our tour guide, Xiao Yu, was incredibly dedicated, explaining the history and origins of each attraction in detail, which helped us understand everything clearly throughout the trip. Her speaking voice was very pleasant, and the itinerary was perfectly arranged. Overall, it was a wonderful tour.
