Visiting the Capuchin Crypt in Rome is a shocking yet thought-provoking experience. In the narrow passages, the ossuaries and patterns made from the remains of monks are displayed, creating a solemn and peaceful atmosphere. Although somewhat eerie at first, a closer look reveals their reverence for life and faith. More than just a tomb, it is an artistic space that reminds people to cherish the present and contemplate the meaning of life and death, leaving visitors with a sense of peace and respect.

Tickets need to be exchanged in advance. The ladies at the visitor center are very professional and give directions, and the city map is very thoughtful. I really enjoyed this exhibition. The audio guide was very comfortable to listen to. The bone crypt wasn't scary at all; in fact, seeing it in person was breathtaking. Highly recommended~~

I expected the crypt to be underground comparable to the Paris Catacombs but they were not. the crypt itself was the best part as it is a very impressive & artistic display of bones. the museum introduction was ok but to me there was too much emphasis on the monks/friars/priests than on whom they serve until the very end of the audio tour. the story itself felt like a conversation rather than a lecture so that was lovely. the instructions were not clear re: timing of the tour itself. I had a noon booking and checked in per instructions only to learn the crypt was clis d for lunch until 2:30. had I planned another tour this would have proven challenging. Klook should provide better communication.

Purchasing an attraction pass is non-refundable. Due to my own mistake, I selected the wrong date. I immediately asked customer service if it could be changed, but the system couldn't help, so I had to buy another ticket. Therefore, I didn't even get to use this experience, yet I still have to give a review. I can only give the customer service compensation a 3-star rating for their empathy, but in reality, I was very helpless and spent extra money.

Don’t buy this ticket at Klook! You have to go to tourist office far off to redeem ticket, and then to the crypt. You can buy tickets directly at the crypt, no queues whatsoever.

The Capuchin Crypt is a remarkable Baroque masterpiece, unlike anything else in the city. Inside, a long corridor leads to five chapels, each adorned with the bones of nearly 4,000 friars from the 16th to 19th centuries. These bones are artistically arranged to form rosettes, pilasters, stars, and even chandeliers and crosses. As you explore, you'll encounter thousands of bones—shinbones, femurs, and skulls—used to create niches and architectural details, with skeletons dressed in friars' habits resting within. Each chapel is named after the types of bones used in its design and contains holy earth believed to originate from Palestine or Jerusalem!
