Kakheti: Sighnaghi, Bodbe, KTW Winery, Bread and Churchkhela tasting

We had such a great time on our Kakheti wine tour, honestly one of the most fun days of the trip! The whole day was super chill, with amazing views of vineyards and the countryside. The wine tastings were great, and it was really cool learning a bit about how Georgia does wine differently. One of the best parts was getting to make and taste traditional Georgian bread and churchkhela, such a fun, hands-on experience (and everything tasted so good). And George… he made the whole day 😂 He’s genuinely hilarious and kept everyone laughing from start to finish, but also knew his stuff and shared interesting stories along the way. It never felt like a “tour,” more like hanging out with a funny friend showing you around. Everything was well organized and easy, and we never felt rushed at any point. Definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Georgia especially if you get George! 🍷

our guide, Paata, is one of the best that we have ever met. He is professional, informative, very attentive, and made our journey a memorable one. We have three stops to look at different wine tasting, which give us enough time to enjoy every moment.

My husband and I had a wonderful time on our day trip to Kakheti, visiting Signaghi, the KTW Winery, and enjoying delicious local bread, wine, and Churchkhela tasting. A big part of what made the experience so enjoyable was our fantastic guide, Mr. Paata. He was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the history and culture of Georgia as well as sharing interesting stories about all the places we visited. His explanations about the different Georgian wines and Churchkhela were especially interesting and made the tastings much more enjoyable. Thank you, Mr. Paata, for making our Kakheti trip so memorable! We truly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend this tour and especially Mr. Paata as a guide to anyone visiting Georgia. 🍷🇬🇪❤️

The tour is very nice. We got to learn how to make Georgian traditional bread shoti, churchkhela and wine. Keti is very knowledgeable, giving us a comprehensive introduction of Georgian history. Really worth the price.

We were able to taste a wider variety of wines than I had imagined. While it might feel a bit short for those who wish to leisurely explore the town, I believe this tour is perfectly suited for getting a "taste" of Sighnaghi's atmosphere and wine culture.

The tour was well-paced. Our tour guide, Nino, was witty and informative. We were able to taste a total of 22 wine + chacha + brandy. We were also able to make our own churchkela and get fresh shoti (mother’s bread).

Excellent! Wine lovers shouldn't miss this. We started tasting wines early in the morning, trying both factory-produced and homemade varieties. It was a very insightful journey! Of course, even if you don't drink much and just enjoy hearing stories and seeing the sights, don't miss it! Baking bread and making grape and walnut candy were both very interesting. The experiences, food, and drinks were all delightful. The guide was truly excellent! They provided detailed explanations, were humorous and engaging, very patient, and attentive to everyone. ​I signed up for this tour because I wanted to try various types of wine, and it completely exceeded my expectations! ​First of all, a huge thank you to our incredibly cheerful guide, Paata! He made the whole tour so much fun and kept the energy high, so time just flew by. He treated us to an unbelievable amount of wine today—I honestly had no idea I'd get to drink this much! Thanks to him, I feel like I've become true friends with wine. ​It was fantastic to taste everything from large-scale commercial wineries to local house wines with that authentic, homemade touch. Comparing the different styles was so much fun. ​Beyond the wine, he gave us insightful explanations about the deep history of Georgian wine and the beautiful architecture of Sighnaghi, making it a truly memorable and meaningful experience. Great tour! It was my first time visiting a winery, and the tasting was excellent — Georgian wine really is something special. Sighnaghi is such a charming little town — I even tried the red wine ice cream there! Our guide Paata made the whole experience even better. He speaks fluent English and Russian, and he didn’t just lead the tour — he shared interesting stories about the places and buildings we passed, pointed out beautiful views along the way, and made the trip so much more enjoyable. Also, the music on the way back was really nice. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was very responsible and knowledgeable, explaining each attraction in great detail. The scenery was also excellent. We visited two wineries and tasted over ten different wines. It was a truly wonderful trip!
