- The diurnal temperature difference in Northwest Yunnan is huge, and the temperature decreases with increasing altitude; temperatures in Shangri-La and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are low, so please prepare a storm jacket / thick coat and non-slip hiking shoes; the plateau has strong UV radiation, so be sure to bring high-SPF sunscreen, a sun hat, sunglasses, and lip balm.
- Domestic use of Chinese standard flat-pin power plugs; foreign guests should bring their own adapter plugs.
- For plateau travel, you can bring your own motion sickness medication and anti-altitude sickness supplies.
