This is a dream true experience! So magical. There might some hassle happened in distribiting card ids in the entrance but still they provide good service and patiently assist everyone. Overall, a great event!
It was superb, they have a pick up and drop off, the experience was very memorable even though it was raining.. The food that was serve are all delicious
So, either the event has MASSIVELY improved from last year on or the people complaining were low-key snobs. This years event was really great! It was orderly, safe, spacious and very atmospheric. Instructions on how to release the lanterns were given very clearly by the moderators, all accidental burns were quickly put out by the team and there were always first responders nearby. There were plenty of free activities to do and performances to see before the big release, water was provided for free and you could walk around and buy some local handicrafts. The only thing I would criticise here is the lack of plantbased or even vegetarian food at the Buffet. There were some rice based dishes available for free before the Buffet was officially open, but compared to the vast amount of meat, it was a bit lacking. The pickup and Drop off were done in an orderly and fast way. The tickets felt a tiny little bit overpriced for what we got, but not by much. All in all, a 9/10 experience
Although this isn't the largest Chiang Mai Lantern Festival, precisely because it isn't the largest, the arrangements for transportation and food are very well thought out. The organizers have arranged sufficient transportation to manage the flow of travelers, and there are various food options available with ample supply, so there's no need to fight over food. But of course, the scene of releasing sky lanterns isn't as spectacular.
Me & My Sister were expecting a lot because it was our first 1st time but all that excitement was in vain. Once we reach the venue no one lead us where to go what to do it was completely a mess. So many people and we didn’t even get the proper seat while we booked it for VIP. Love the lantern Show but we didn’t get the Loy Khrathong. After the show finished we didnt know where to go get our bus coz no one told us where they park the bus and We had to take the another different bus. Overall it was ok at least we can see 1 show i.e. lantern show. l
we paid for the platinum package that included pickup at our hotel and they didn’t show up. we waited over 3 hours and then they final sent us a taxi to drive us the 90 mins there. we got there 20 mins before the lantern release but did not get to eat, drink, or do any of the crafts, or see any of the venue which is half of what we paid over $200 a person to do. overall it was a very disappointing experience as this is once in lifetime thing and they didn’t deliver. they are refusing to issue a partial refund as we got half of what we paid for. it rained so it was super muddy(not their fault just a warning about what you wear) . they had plastic chairs set up in the field around a stage and the show started at 8pm and lantern release started about 8:45pm soon as all the lanterns go off (3 per person and you need to be careful because a lot catch on fire) you are directed to exit the venue (about 9:45) and then it is chaos trying to find your ride and get out of there.
I loved everything, super organized, they give you a bag, raincoat, a keychain, everything super nice.
complete set up was great
The Sky Lantern Festival is a must-visit, the atmosphere is very good, the sky lanterns and fireworks are so beautiful and moving! However, the dinner process was a bit chaotic. There were too many people taking their meals at once, and the queues were arranged at will. It would be nice if there was a staff member who could arrange the order.
Terrible organization to get to Dutch Farm, we didn't find VIP food, and where there was they sent us somewhere else and they didn't even know how to tell us where, the welcome snack is very simple and basic, the drinks are quite tasty, in the end we were able to have something reasonably good for dinner, and to return to Chiang Mai the transfer was very fast and pleasant, the only thing missing was organization of the place and that their collaborators knew where to send us for our food.
