What to expect

Fermentation has been essential for food preservation for thousands of years, dating back to early ferments like beer and mead. Today, a wide array of fermented foods exists, and interestingly, chocolate and coffee wouldn’t exist without fermentation.

At The Sundowner, we delve into the origins of food with our new Kimchi & Kombucha experience. This 2-hour session lets you taste and explore the science behind fermentation, including culturing anaerobic bacteria, temperature control, and carbonation. Participants will also hand-make their own ferments and take home a kombucha SCOBY and a jar of kimchi.
