Cairns Great Barrier Reef Full-Day Tour with Helicopter Flight

Snorkeling on the reef was awesome so as the helicopter tour. There's multiple activities that can be done from the pontoon.The crew is also really kind.

Lunch options are a bit limited, but water activities are plentiful. I felt at ease when I participated in the diving experience and there were Chinese explanations. The Great Barrier Reef is really beautiful. There will be underwater photographers who will help take pictures from time to time. We also saw turtles. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a GoPro or a waterproof mobile phone bag so I couldn’t take pictures of the coral reefs and turtles😭

The Moore Reef is beautiful and well preserved, and the helicopter crew was professional, but the Sunlover is a "massive production" operation and is not an enjoyable ferry experience. There are better, slightly smaller boats that will give you a much better day. Just ask someone about the Sunlover at any local tour desks, and see what they'll tell you.

There were too many activities and not enough time. The helicopter ride takes 40-50 minutes, so if you want to enjoy the ocean, it's a waste. The helicopter ride was a valuable experience. Just a little pricey.

It was beautifully arranged. I spent some extra money to hire a guided snorkeling tour and it was awesome. Staffs were friendly. Lunch was overall great. Such a pity the helicopter flight was cancelled cuz they’re used to help people suffering from Jasper.

Joseph's commentary on the glass-bottom boat tour was very humorous and enthusiastic, which greatly enhanced the entire trip.

It was a really great experience to feel the nation itself. Snorkeling, boats, and helicopters... I cannot forget the moments from this tour.

the trip to the pontoon was not too bad, didn't need any motion sickness pills. lotsa of Asians onboard as sunlover caters to Chinese. facilities were fine, food is average. glassboat is apparently more interesting than semi submersible boat, I could see corals in glassboat but there were nothing to see at all in semi submersible boat. snorkeling was the best experience. helicopter 10min scenic flight was fine, nothing fantastic, can do without unless you have never flew in a helicopter before. 4hours at pontoon with all the above mentioned activities is just nice. I only managed to snorkel for 45mins. overall, for the price, okay.

The Sunlover's Reef is beautiful, and the helicopter ride was definitely worth the money, but the ferry ride is a mess to say the least. It's crowded, noisy, and with kids running around. There are many better and more chill operators out there that will give you a much better day. Just ask someone about the Sunlover at any local tour desks, and see what they'll tell you.
