Ibaraki: Hitachi Seaside Park & Oarai Isosaki Shrine & Unlimited Pear Picking Day Trip (From Tokyo)
- Hitachi Seaside Park "Kochia": A soft and fluffy, adorable color-changing carpet that transforms from green to red, dyeing the entire Miharashi Hill red. It is arguably Ibaraki's most beautiful representative autumn spot (tour includes entrance fee).
- Sea Torii "Oarai Isosaki Shrine": With a history of over 1,000 years, the torii gate located on the coast is a very popular scenic photography spot among photography enthusiasts. The combination of splashing waves and the torii gate is extremely impressive!
- Head to a pear orchard that cultivates high-end varieties and enjoy the delicious taste of Japanese pears to your heart's content!

What to expect
Hitachi Seaside Park Mid-April to Mid-May: Nemophila Hitachi Seaside Park spans 200 hectares and features different beautiful flower fields in each season. The most attractive is the Nemophila blooming from mid-April to early May every year. After full bloom, the plains and hillsides are covered with粉 blue flower fields, which are the same color as the sky and the ocean, weaving a great view.
Mid-July to Mid-October: Kochia Hitachi Seaside Park has more than 30,000 Kochia plants. In summer, the green Kochia is endless. In autumn, it forms a red color, as if competing with maple leaves, which is very beautiful.
Oarai Isosaki Shrine Oarai Isosaki Shrine, founded in 856, enshrines the god Okuninushi no Mikoto and is widely worshiped as a god who protects family safety and business prosperity. It is also famous as one of the best sunrise spots and a sacred place to view the sea in Japan. The “Kamiiso Torii Gate” of Oarai Isosaki Shrine stands on a rock in the Pacific Ocean, with the background of waves beating against the rocks, creating a spectacular view that cannot be missed!
Japanese Pear Picking Experience Japanese pears are nutritious and rich in potassium, polyphenols, dietary fiber, and water, which are very effective in fatigue recovery and beauty. In the pear orchard, various Japanese pears from early-maturing varieties to late-maturing varieties such as “Kousui”, “Housui”, “Kaori”, “Niitaka”, and “Shuho” are available for you to taste.

Reviews
At the beginning we are struggle to find the meeting point, but finally we can make it...our Tour Guide is very nice, friendly, and helpful as we travel with senior ladies. Also the driver very passion even we are late a few minutes as the grandma can't walk fast coz the leg problems. So the itenary very interesting, they love the pear picking and the beautiful Park, but they didn't do that much for the Shrine, the lunch package was good, overall the tour was GREAT...Thank you
The itinerary is a bit tight, pears are eaten very quickly, and the tour guide doesn’t explain much.
