Jeju Haenyeo Diving Half-Day Small Group Experience

This experience was a lot of fun. The instructor kept encouraging us to go underwater and catch sea snails. The diving was challenging, but it was definitely worth it to experience the work of a female diver. It's really not easy. Also, the driver who picked us up spoke excellent English. I was still swimming in the sea and didn't come ashore until 10 minutes later.

This was a terrible experience and I would strongly advise others to be extremely careful before booking. The activity description clearly stated that the experience would involve diving with Haenyeo and observing their traditional practices. However, what actually happened was completely different — I was simply taken swimming in a port, with no Haenyeo present at all. This was extremely misleading and not what was advertised. When I raised this with the tour provider, the response was defensive and unhelpful. Instead of taking responsibility, they pushed back and discussed only a partial refund. I am still waiting to receive my money. I travelled specifically to Jeju for this experience and planned my schedule around it, making this both disappointing and financially frustrating. This type of behaviour needs closer monitoring by Klook, with stronger verification of tours to ensure they match what is delivered. Overall, a terrible experience and I lost my money.
