The staff was friendly and tended to our concerns promptly. Unfortunately, there were many issues. Biggest one was that as of about midnight, we had no water. When I reported it in the morning, they fixed it right away. Minor issue was the TV remote power button didn’t work. They give you one bath towel per guest. The rest of it is a paper towel dispenser like in a public rest room. Not terrible but very unusual. I had to ask for shampoo, and they gave me three little plastic bags that they obviously filled themselves. The photos make it look like the place is right on the beach but it’s a bit of a walk and you can’t really see the beach from there. It was a ghost town; we seemed to be the only guests. The “casino” is just a collection of about 50 electronic arcade-style devices, there are no tables with real people. While the room is air conditioned, the casino and all other common areas are not, so it’s not very comfortable, at least not this time of year. Be prepared to walk at least one flight of stairs to your room. There are no elevators or first-floor rooms. Overall it was not pleasant so we didn’t stay our planned second night. There was not a refund for that so we ate it.

This place is hilarious, Total hidden gem. I booked this when I arrived to San Juan del sur after looking at ever other hotel first. The rooms are very clean and has security most of the time. It’s a bizarre hotel and “casino” with like 10 working slotachines and very loud music plays all night long. No one spoke English there which was a problem. My room had a flat screen tv, working A/C and a clean bathroom. I will book this place again compared to the other places in town I enjoyed it here a lot!

We booked this hotel after our original option overbooked us leaving us without a room. Looked decent through the pictures and we were excited about its location being so close to the beach. Those were the only highlights of this hotel. We got there and were greeted by a security guard who then took us to the "reception area" a desk in the casino. He found our reservation, and after asking a couple other people he was able to find the giant key ring with every key to the hotel. He then took us to our room which was not far from the casino. The cigarette smoked filled every part of the hotel and its loud music could be heard through the thin walls. The room he gave to us smelled like sewage and cigarettes, it was tiny, looked grungy and dark. We immediately said something about the smell and were shown to another room. The smell of sewage in that room was far worse. So again, from his giant ring of keys he showed us another room and same thing, it smelled horrible. Although Expedia or the hotel rather would not give us our money back because it was not refundable we chose to leave. We were not going to suffer through the night or worse be worried about our safety the entire time.

This hotel and the employees are the worst. They made us pay again for our stay and lied to hoteles.com about it. When we asked why we have to pay even though it is paid with the app, they claim that people from the USA need to pay double to stay there. Was a complete scam. The room was the worst. A TV from the 70's, no AC, no hot water, dirty beds and a horribly dirty room. Please don't waste your money in this place, there are many hotels who like their guests and treat them well, hotels who clean the rooms and do not make hateful remarks about guests because they are from other countries. Other than this hotel, our trip throughout Nicaragua was amazing, it is one of the best countries we have been to and we will be back often. The people (who don't work for the hotel are super nice.
