Area of excellence-
1. I accidentally chose twin beds instead of king bed when making reservation. Book dept staff made sure I ended up getting the king bed type upon checking in at the hotel.
2. Spa and pool service staff were all very delightful, makes me feel welcomed!
Room for improvement
1. It is a 5 star hotel, but yet the toilet is not equipped with washlet, which comes as a shock to me. Further more, the toilet paper is so rough on the skins. Usually these kinds of recycled toilet papers are provided at the hotels equipped with washlets. The ones that are not normally would use much softer toilet papers like Pampers.
2. In the morning when we went down to cafe for breakfast, it was around 9:30am. We were informed that it was a full house and needed to wait 15-20mins. Normally when a hotel has high booking rate at some days, wont it be more appropriate to divert the crowds when checking in? In other hotels, staff will provide several time slots for hotel guest to select to avoid lining up at breakfast queue.
3. At the breakfast cafe, coffee/tea is table sided service. I finished my tea and would like a refill, I had asked 3 different staff, but they all just tell me “please wait”. Then I never saw any of them again. Cafe staff was pretty prompt to take away finished dishes, and I wonder, wouldn’t it make sense if the staff could also take a second to check to see if refill was needed?
