Below averageStayed with family
Need some customer service training at every level but especially the front desk staff. A lot of work to do to support guests.

GreatStayed with kids
The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms were nice. The pillows on the bed were standard extremely soft hotel pillows. Overall it is a good hotel and the location is excellent especially if you are planning on either walking to explore Victoria (in a good way). It is close the the harbour, the main shopping streets, and many activities. We didn't need a car for the first 4 days of our trip and we're able to walk to explore. Take a pedi-cab tour on day one (over by the visitor info center) to find out more about Victoria and places to visit. The pool is great!
The negatives:
The on-site restaurant has a good breakfast, but their nightly food options are all very try-hard to be upper class, to the point where you can't get just a burger or a pizza. Lovely staff, all friendly and helpful just the food options were lacking.
The wifi isn't secured in the slightest bit, don't leave your devices connected to it, it is completely open.
QR codes for everything, being told the website menu isn't up to date and that I can scan a QR code in the room that may have been tampered with isn't good customer service. QR codes may be convenient but they are not secure.
The TV for the times we did try to watch was completely going in and out of pixelated and not worth attempting to watch.
Lastly, the card scanners in the elevator take forever to scan cards, there is a huge issue and most people were complaining about taking tours of the floors as they struggled to scan cards in time.

GreatStayed with kids
We had a decent stay, friendly staff and location was alright. The property seemed a few decades outdated, but nothing off putting.

Good The room itself was excellent — comfortable bed, spotless, and I appreciated the laminate floors, which made everything feel cleaner. Staff were outstanding: friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive.
The M Club Lounge was a disappointment. It felt dark and uninviting, and the food didn't deliver. Fake tasting scrambled eggs at breakfast, and the evening appetizers (doughy Thai chicken, waxy cheese) were not worth the trip. Sticking to the toast and fruit is your best bet. Honestly, I'd skip the lounge upgrade and have breakfast somewhere nearby instead.
Parking was the other frustration. The garage is difficult to navigate — the two-way ramp is very narrow, and if two cars meet, one has to reverse around the full circular ramp. We also couldn't charge our EV because non-charging vehicles were occupying the charging stalls, and there didn't seem to be any enforcement of the posted rules around moving your car once charging is complete.
Overall, it felt more like a well-maintained 3-star hotel than a 4-star experience. Great room and staff, but the lounge and parking situation need work.

FantasticStayed with partner
Great property, great location, friendly staff, nice restaurant and lounge but some updating to elevators and bathrooms might be considered. I would definitely choose this location again as it was so well located to the waterfront area for scenery, shopping and dining.
