JC is amazing. He waited on us and brought food, drinks etc to us while floating in the ocean We never had to ask for anything he anticipated what we were wanting before even asking. and walked into the water to bring it too us also gotta say Richie, Ricardo, Louis and Miguel were awesome. They took care of us at the bar and in the dining room. amazing staff Regarding mia. just know. the rooms are clean not updated. but the ocean is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond

We had a wonderful stay at Mia Reef! The location is beautiful, with gorgeous ocean views, clear water, and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the resort was a great place to unwind and enjoy time with my husband. The only drawback was that some guests were unhappy with the bird sanctuary area. Because of the large number of birds, there were bird droppings on some of the villa balconies and outdoor areas. While we understand that the sanctuary is part of the natural environment and wildlife experience, it did affect the cleanliness of those areas at times. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend Mia Reef to anyone looking for a beautiful beachfront getaway. The positives far outweighed the negatives, and we made many wonderful memories there.

I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel I need to share my experience. During my stay, in the afternoon, I slipped near the pool and fractured two ribs. There appeared to be a slippery layer of sunscreen and oil in the pool area, and by the time I realized it, it was too late. The injury was extremely painful. I also want to mention that I was staying in a villa, far from the front desk, and I could barely walk after the accident, which made it even more difficult to seek help on my own. When I returned to my room, I discovered that my room phone was not working, so I had no way to call the front desk for assistance. I was alone, in severe pain, and crying. Thankfully, I had made a friend at the hotel, and he was the one who helped me by arranging for someone to come assist me. I ended up paying for medical treatment and other expenses out of my own pocket. What disappointed me most was the lack of concern from the hotel. No one checked on me in the days following the accident, and nobody seemed interested in knowing whether I was okay. It wasn’t until the day I was leaving that a manager came to speak with me. He said he would return, but I never heard from him again. I also followed up by email to ask for information regarding my incident because I needed it for a possible claim, but I never received any response. I also want to add that I have stayed at this hotel many times before, and many of the staff know me. I am not someone who is there constantly drinking or

Room was clean but very worn down. We had to change rooms because the first room did not have hot water. The food was good but the tables and chairs were very old and stained. The view was gorgeous and in the North Beach but there was a ton of seaweed. The resort also had a horrible bird infestation in June. There was bird feces everywhere.

We loved everything, but especially how helpful our bell man, Bernie was. He made everything work easily and smoothly and was so helpful and friendly to us, made us feel welcome. We loved our room, thank you for reassigning us to the best room with 2 beds and a beautiful view of the water and birds, and pier. , we loved the entertainment- folklorico dancing, fire show and the rest. we also enjoyed the food, how easy everything was and how beautiful was the water and the setting. We loved that we met a lot of Mexican tourists vs Americans...that was fun and we got to practice our spanish. We loved the Charrons and the frigate birds and the pelicans which we watched from our balcony. Thank you for making our holiday very special.

The beach here has the most spectacular beautiful crystal clear turquoise water you can imagine! You can walk out into the ocean forever on the super soft sandbar! The hotel itself is a cute simple boutique-like hotel with unique rooms, they have everything you need. We stayed in a king villa room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The food & drink is your average all inclusive, nothing special but edible… but you are coming here for the beach & proximity to the town. You have to rent a golf cart for at least a day & explore the island (walk right down the street to Hotel Maria Del Mar for half the price at the hotel, $85 for the day) I’ve never seen a more beautiful beach & magnificent views of open ocean water!! You must stay here!!!

The property was great, however the Kings Pool was closed while we were there. So we missed out on that. In the cabanas the birds were pretty bad towards the Kings Pool. The front canbanas weren't to bad. It was cool looking at all the babies running around though. The staff was incredible the entire time, they were always accommodating and happy to help. The sargassam wasn't bad except one day, but never kept us out of the ocean. Best place to go swimming or floating on the island. Short walk to all the shopping, bars and restaurants in town. I will say, we used a stroller for grandson, it was ok but plan on walking on the streets, most sidewalks were not passable with it. Hiking back pack would be the way to go for infants or toddlers. It was a short taxi ride $12 one way to go to Punta Sur, worth the trip. Make sure you walk along all the walkways, stop and have a beer and ceviche! Coconuts on the beach was a great place to have a sunset dinner. The steak and Lobster tail was very good!

The MIA Reef Resort was amazing.

Property is great staff is great food choices get old fast but great time
