3/5 — Beautiful Atmosphere, But Serious Security Issues
The hotel has genuine charm — beautiful themed decor, a magnificent terrace with a stunning view, and an exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. The food was decent and the overall vibe was pleasant. For the price point, it delivers on aesthetics.
However, I cannot overlook several serious security issues that significantly impacted our stay.
At 2:39 AM, an unknown person knocked on our door for approximately 5 minutes. When we tried to secure the room, we discovered the door chain was missing . the mount was there, but no chain. To make matters worse, the peephole was damaged right in the center, making it impossible to identify who was outside. The patio door had no lock whatsoever, leaving us completely exposed from that entry point throughout the night. For a couple traveling, this was genuinely alarming.
Additionally, upon checkout, staff repeatedly pressured us to provide our reservation details and translate them into English — behavior that felt inappropriate and suggested they may have been attempting to post their own review using guest information.
The hotel is older and shows its age — walls are worn and it sits comfortably at a 3-star level, which is fine if expectations are set accordingly. The location is what it is — nothing surprising, just average.
Bottom line : Lovely staff, gorgeous terrace, real security concerns that management needs to address immediately.

Power points hanging out of the wall. Bathroom floods. Took 2 days to get towels.
The building felt unsafe.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful

FantasticStayed with kids
The room was spacious, but the rooftop terrace was unbelievable. We spent a lot of time up there, eating, reading, hanging out and just enjoying an exceptional view of the pyramids.

Fantastic This place had the friendliest staff I have ever seen. They will bend over backwards to make you happy. The tour guides they use really know their stuff too. Couldn’t have possibly been happier

Below average SCAM/FRAUD ALERT! Do not book this “hotel.” I arrived in the evening only to discover that the room I had booked weeks before had been given to someone else. They assigned me another room, which I paid for on the spot when they said they were canceling the room I never stayed in. BUT THEY DID NOT CANCEL THE INITIAL ROOM. I paid for two rooms on the same night. I am working on a resolution with Expedia (not as easy as it should be, Expedia!), but, really, avoid this hotel. In addition to the fraud, because of “renovations,” you now must enter the hotel from a trash-filled, dangerous alley. I cannot imagine why Expedia still offers this fraudulent booking.

Great location and the rooms facing pyramids. Our room size was huge, jacuzzi with pyramids view. The windows are wall to wall and bottom to ceiling giving the best view of pyramids from everywhere in the room. Their restaurant is very convenient and roof top view of pyramids. It’s the very good location. Restaurant staff is very courteous and food is decent. They were able to get us the cabs from to airport and also arrange for a tour etc. that was very convenient. A bit pricey compared to what we could have done with Uber ourselves. But it’s worth being in the new country and convenience of going to multiple places
Area and approach to the hotel can be a bit daunting but as long as uber or car is there it’s good. Overall quality of bathrooms/fittings can be better but since we there for just one day it was good for us.
In all it’s a great location, good staff and convenience to Giza pyramids etc.

Nice aesthetics and a decent balcony view, but the stay was unacceptable.
The room had a strong mold and mildew odor, and construction noise occurred between 2:00–4:00 AM, making sleep nearly impossible. Noise from the rooftop lounge carried directly into the room through a grate above a window that only faced a wall—something not shown or disclosed in the listing.
Online photos are misleading and imply all rooms have balcony views, which is not accurate. Communication was poor as well, with unclear shuttle information and attempted pricing changes after the ride.
Despite the visuals, the overall experience fell well below expectations.
