What are the age requirements for tickets?

Adult ticket: Age 14+
Child ticket: Age 6-13
Infants (Age 0-5): One infant can travel free without a seat when accompanied by a paying adult aged 18 or above, but an infant must still be declared under real-name policy. You can buy an infant ticket at a China Rail station, take the child’s passport along with the adult's passport to a manual ticket window, as they cannot use machines. Buy a child ticket if the infant needs a seat or if you are bringing more than one infant. Ages are based on the travel date. You must provide the child’s ID details when purchasing a child ticket.
