Watch Georgetown come alive by night, transforming into a bright bustling metropolis. Start off with a signature dinner right from a hawker's stall, sampling the best of Malaysian cuisine made in the best of its cooking traditions, such as satay, fried rice or sizzling hot plate noodles. With a delicious dinner filling your stomach, hop into the back of a trishaw and enjoy a scenic ride across Malaysia's second longest bridge, Penang Bridge. The tour concludes with a ferry ride back to Penang Island where you'll get to see all of the area's unique nighttime beauty from the water.
The driver/tour guide is very patient, professional and he highly customised the tour for the 3 of us, with detailed explanations of the rich heritage of Georgetown. He choose the right timing for us to view the daytime, sunset and night view of Penang at the TOP (KOMTAR) at Rainbow Walk. He also arrange Chinese Vegetarian dinner for us, no worries about your dietary requirements. Highly recommended tour and tour guide, for first timers to Penang. Fantastic!
The mansion looks even better than the photos.
Check in was a breeze. We were given a room on the ground floor overlooking the water feature.
We had our cocktails at the bar before dinner.
The 3 course dinner was really good and came in pretty big portion. The finale which was the yuzu and strawberry parfait was a feast for the eyes and the palate.
We get to pick our mains for our breakfast the night before. There was also a small buffet spread comprising of yogurt, breads, cereal and light snacks like lor bak and french toast with cheese and ham.
We selected western breakfast and teo chew porridge. Their fried pao is worth mentioning.
Breakfast was served in the courtyard which was a perfect setting.
We joined the 11am tour before check out and learnt more about the place and its history.
Overall, we love eveything about the mansion and all it has to offer.
We love it!
Will be back for sure...
The room is spacious and well designed
The pool is small but who goes to pool when you stay in a heritage hotel.
I love the bar and I love when the service staff made an exception for us to reserve the table downstairs because my grandma can’t climb up the steps
We enjoyed the tour but wish It could be a lil more historically based.
