Maximize your experience with the natural and cultural heritage of the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark in this half-day cruise that combines wildlife observation, cave exploration, and mangrove ecology awareness! Starting out from the Tanjung Rhu Jetty, a local expert will take you out for a scenic ride along three rivers: Tanjung Rhu, Kisap, and Kilim. Depending on the tide, you’ll get to visit the Crocodile Cave or bat cave, before heading to the Fish Farm. Throughout the cruise, you’ll pass by sheer limestone cliffs, fiords, sea stacks and other stunning Karst formations formed by rain and tidal movements. You'll also get a chance to spot strange aquatic creatures like ambulatory fish (a type of fish that can move on land for extended periods of time) and otters, as well as rare birds like brahminy kites and kingfishers.
Head out for an exciting guided cruise through the meandering passages of the Kubang Badak River! Meet your local guide at the Kubang Badak Jetty for a brief orientation before hopping on a boat to start your adventure along the coastal river. Unique species of flora and fauna, which have adapted to the ever changing environment in the mangrove forest, are truly beautiful sights to behold. If you're lucky, you'll get to see some exotic animals such as the white-bellied sea eagles, brahminy kites, kingfishers, herons, mudskippers, fiddler crabs and monitor lizards, and otters. After about 90 minutes of exploration, you'll get to savor a delightful lunch at a home of a local villager. You will then be driven to a nearby jungle trail that leads to a quiet pool, where you can take a refreshing dip before concluding your adventure.
Brilliant tour for those wanting to experience nature! Our guide, Ismail is a soft-spoken gentleman who shared interesting knowledge and facts about mangrove and the biodiversity around the area. This knowledgeable gentleman also told us about the meteorite impact in Langkawi. Highly recommended and suitable for people of all ages.
One of the best experiences we had in Langkawi! The whole tour was very well organised and smooth. The tour leader clearly explained a lot about the mangroves we passed through, and the animals living there. Lunch was delicious, they accommodated for our vegan requirements. And the jungle pool at the end of the tour was wonderful - really refreshing. The Klook description says to bring sneakers, however it's best to only wear flip-flops.
We were in two minds to book this tour as we had only two days in Langkawi, but we have read some great reviews about this tour and went ahead with it. I would say, it was a great decision to book this tour and that too by Klook & Junglewalla team. This team is very professional and they took some good time to help us understand the flora & flora in this tour. Mangroves, monkeys and small crabs were all there to be witnessed by an enthusiastic traveller like us. We loved this tour and would highly recommend the same too.
Omg what a day! I don’t even know where to start but the summary is that this was an amazing tour! Hermi our guide was outstanding, he is so knowledgeable and feed us with so much interesting information. He made the whole difference. I would have spent more time with him travelling around beautiful Langkawi and learning more facts. Please please take this tour if you come to Langkawi.
We had the best guide in the industry who was very knowledgeable and insightful. A wonderful experience for this mangrove ride. The homemade popiahs were an extra bonus!
There were many boats heading to the same area however it was managed by a boatman and no guide. This company engaged by Klook had the guide which made all the difference. A must book if you're in Langkawi.
Thank you to our knowledgeable and hilarious guide Kris for the awesome tour of one of Langkawi's best treasures. We saw really awesome animals (fluffy monkeys, eagles, cute mini crabs, snakes) in the geopark & loved the boat ride through the mangroves and Andaman Sea thanks to our captain (forgot your name so sorry!! you are awesome though!) Really lucky with the weather esp during the monsoon season which we were warned of unpredictable weather. Also enjoyed the little trip to a floating platform where we could see the different species of fish that live in the mangroves - got to touch a stingray and feed some groupers! All in all a great experience and we would highly recommend to people of all ages (saw a grandma around 80 years old hopping onto a boat after us - good stuff!)
