What people are saying about Tradition & Culture in Seoul
Dorothy Hanbok had fabulous pieces! We had a great time stepping back in time in their hanbok. Place was easy to find. The staff were quite helpful in choosing the best style and color for us and braided our hair. We felt like Korean royalty for 4 hours! They even printed 4 of our fave shots for us to keep as souvenirs. ♥️
This was one of our best experiences in Seoul!
Easy to use! Just tell them your name and its done (they have list of people who rent the hanbok from klook)! When i arrived, i just told them my name then i can freely to look and choose the hanbok :) They have plenty variance of hanbok, the themed hanbok are so cute and colorful. They will help you to choose if you confused to match the inner and outer of hanbok and the best color for you! They help you to wear the hanbok. Also, you can request for the hairdo you prefer from the available style. You also can choose the hairpin or hairband and the cutie small bag for your phone, passport, money etc. You can leave your things in the shop. The most important, they printed 2 photos of me on the hanbok, you can choose and share the photo to them. Btw, i came around 9.30/10 in the morning and already 3-5 visitors in the shop. But they wokr so fast so i didnt need to wait lol Thank you for the nice and fast service :)
The hanbok is much prettier when you wear it! I just love it . It is a must to wear when you visit korea. However they didnt give us clear sign or instructions on how to get to the shop. To those who are planning to go , the shop is just behind the mcdonald and walk straight about 5 minutes and the shop is on the left (on 2nd floor) ,
Booked the themed hanbok for male. Dorothy hanbok is located inside an alley. The process was really hassle free. They help to keep your belongings with no additional cost. However, an additional charge of 5,000KRW is required if you want to get the hat.
Bonus; there is a really delicious noodle store beside dorothy hanbok which you can try after you return the hanbok!!! Their Kimchi is super good too!!
We went at 10am and it was empty so everything went really smoothly and they are really friendly and helpful. There’s 2 chinese speaking lady which makes everything easier! We booked the themed hanbok and it’s so pretty! You just have to choose the skirt and the owner will help you to match the top. When you return the hanbok, you can choose a photo that you have taken to be printed out.
Ps. Remember to wear thick inner wear during winter.
We enjoy every little moments of this tour, but I strongly recommend that Yongin Folk Village and Everland should be visited separetly as both place is so huge and packs with a lots of activities. We also had the best tour guide by the name of toni, english speaking and was very polite to us. Thanks toni for the great memories.
