Spend a full day exploring the surrounding cities of San Francisco - like Monterey and Carmel, taking in breathtaking sights along the way. Travel from San Francisco through the scenic Highway 1 all the way to the Monterey Peninsula. Enjoy some free time in Monterey, famous for its stunning ocean views, historic past and abundant wildlife. You have around 2 hours to explore the area - dropping by Cannery Row, and of course, the world-famous Monterey Aquarium. You may choose to visit the Monterey Aquarium (at own expense) and get to see some rare marine animals inside! Afterwards, you'll travel through the famous 17-Mile Drive, and get to see the famous Pebble Beach Golf Course! Make sure to bring your camera because you'll have some time to take some photos along the beautiful drive. Finally, head over to Carmel by the sea and enjoy some free time to walk through the charming town, visiting their lovely shops and taking in the beautiful architecture; before finally going back to San Francisco.
I’m so glad that we booked the Monterey & Carmel tour with Klook . We had a fantastic time absorbing the beautiful views, sumptuous lunch at Fish Hopper, the restaurant recommended by our tour-guide Randy and surprise shopping in Carmel. Randy is a real trooper, professional but at the same time funny hence making the tour both interesting and fun-filled. Monterey is incredibly beautiful and so is Carmel with quaint shops and rich historic places. This tour is highly recommended and you have to do it with Klook, which is always dependable.
Great Experience yesterday, Don, our tour guide was amazing and had a lot to share. He has great knowledge of the area and how he connects it to his life’s journey is extremely relatable. We got lucky with some nice weather too. Do check about the fog conditions if you can before you book the tour. One wishes we had more time at Monterey Bay as 2 hours is less for seeing the Aquarium as well as checking out rest of stuff.
The tour was well scheduled. We felt comfortable throughout the whole journey with the comfortable coach bus seats and were given enough small stops for restroom, buying few snacks and taking pictures at some scenic spots. The guide was good. He even brought us to small store selling fresh market goods and treated us the freshly picked juicy strawberries. The whole tour was just worth it.
