The WelcomeCard with Museum Island Pass is great value as it lets one use Berlin's public transport system, without the hassle of having to figure out which fare to buy and then validate your tickets before each trip, which means one can focus on taking in the sights and experiences of the city.
We simply collected our WelcomeCard at the Tourist Info counter at the airport and use it immediately on the TXL express bus that brings you into the city.(the counter is conveniently located right where you exit to take the bus)
The optional Museum Island Pass also grants daily entry to the fantastic museums for 3 consecutive days (not 72h!) and trust me there is a whole lot to take in. History and anthropology buffs should definitely consider getting this Pass as the cost of single adult tickets to all these separate museums would be significantly more.
Very easy to redeem (I did it at the Berlin Central Station Tourist Info Centre) but must remember to print the voucher as physical voucher is required during redemption. Redemption is smooth and the service consultant there even reminded us to do a validation of the tickets at the platform before boarding and we only need to validate once (do rem if double validations will void the ticket). I can say that this is a good deal as we used the card to travel around Berlin in all modes of transport (S-bahn, U-bahn and all rails within ABC zones) conveniently and even travel to the Designer Outlet Berlin for a great shopping!
This museum was really engaging with all their exhibits, and shows you the life of a citizen back then in East Germany. There’s even a simulation of driving through the streets of Easy Germany in the Trabi! Amazing ticket to get when visiting Berlin! Many attractions and Christmas Markets around the vicinity too.
I picked up my Berlin Welcome Card from Berlin Tegal airport. The staff at the counter were friendly and they exchanged my printed voucher with the booklet and ticket.
Once validated, I could use the pass for all the transport system in Berlin which was really convenient. Recommended if you’re going to be frequently using the public transport.
This amazing card / pass made our Berlin trip stress-free and truly enjoyable. From the airport bus going to our hotel, to travelling around the city to visit the different sites and memorials, and even travelling back to the airport for the flight back home, this pass enabled us to do all those in a breeze. Make sure to grab one if your planning to visit Berlin.
Very convenient. Just change at the Berlin Tegel airport (quite a Long Q when it first opened in the morning) and then can start using for all the buses and subway lines.. don’t have to worry anything about the public transportation at all
Get the Museum Island Pass if you plan to visit the museums.. and ABC if you wish to go visit Potsdam! It’s worth a trip
