Craving a digital detox? This summer, take a break from your phone and join our Eco-Friendly Chess Kit Workshop at Fabrica X! Get hands-on and craft this portable board game kit that is perfect to play during your parties, gatherings, travels, and a great boredom buster for kids and families.
In this workshop, you will be upcycling biodegradable materials—coffee waste and eggshells—into beautiful tokens. From mixing natural paints to customising your own chess pieces, every step is full of surprise and creativity. This clever kit features a double-sided board, so you can enjoy two distinct chess games in one compact set, doubling the fun!

Workshop Rundown:
· Make tokens with biomaterials (30 mins + 50 mins dehydration)
· Mix natural paints (15 mins)
· Print game boards (20 mins)
· Select 2 out of 4 games: Nine Men’s Morris, Triangle Peg Solitaire, Five Field Kono, and Tic Tac Toe
· Assemble chess kit (10 mins)
*This workshop involves printing with natural black dye, participants are recommended to wear dark colour clothes and pay extra care.
