Freespace Noise Fest Introduction

Two weeks of sonic exploration with boundary-pushing artists from the local and international experimental music scene

This summer, Freespace Noise Fest presents two weeks of boundary-pushing sonic exploration with performances by over 30 international and local acts. The experimental musical experience challenges conventions, redefines perceptions, and sheds new light on the power and potential of unconventional sounds.

The programme features two weekends of non-stop free-improvisation at The Room, with 20 plus performances over six days, as well as a finale double-bill at The Box featuring Japanese guitarist Yoshihide Otomo and Indonesian duo Senyawa.

Other events include free artist sharing sessions hosted by cultural and media theorist Dr François Mouillot, and an artist-led workshop with Mexican artist Vica Pacheco.
