"Quokka in Town!" Exhibition: A marshmallow adventure through the nooks and crannies of Hong Kong

Happening this August 5 to 29, Gallery by the Harbour welcomes the lovable characters Quokka, Bobo the gummy bear, and Marsh the marshmallow, from the popular Korean creative brand Dinotaeng by illustrator Kim Tae-eun. Dinotaeng is very popular, with more than 260,000 Instagram followers. Quokka is known as "the happiest animal in the world", and his signature smile can always infect people around him.

"Quokka in Town!" is Dinotaeng's first overseas exhibition, featuring fun stories of illustrated characters roaming around Hong Kong. The exhibition hall is set up as a passenger plane that invites the audience to join Quokka and their friends in their Hong Kong adventure filled with great expectations. Holding their favorite marshmallow skewers in their hands, they wandered around the downtown area mightily, looking amazed by the tall skyscrapers, enjoying the cool breeze on the tram, and sometimes lost in the city's intricate streets and lanes. While exploring this colorful city, their smiles fills Hong Kong with warmth.

“Always joyful and sometimes clumsy, Quokka resolves obstacles with humour and originality, treating every occasion as gleeful experiments of life’s possibilities. I believe the characters can inject some humour into the audience’s life, reminding them of the little treasures in their surroundings. To me, this is the greatest joy!” said Kim Tae-eun.

Come and rediscover the charm of this city with the optimistic Quokka, Bobo, and Marsh! There are more than one hundred themed boutiques available at the scene, with limited quantities so make sure not to miss it!
