Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hong Kong Book Fair is rescheduled on July 14 to 20, 2021 (Wednesday to Tuesday).

Introduction

The annual exhibition held by the Hong Kong Publishing Association in the City Hall can be deemed as the predecessor of the Hong Kong Book Fair. The first Hong Kong Book Fair was held in 1990 and it has since been a major annual event in Hong Kong, with the number of attendees reaching a new high every year. The organizer, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, has always taken the promotion of local reading culture as its mission. More than inviting the public to visit and buy books, it is also committed in organizing diversified cultural activities during the Book Fair period to enhance the contents and quality of the Fair.

Theme of the Year: Inspirational and Motivational Reading

The most beloved cultural event among Hong Kong Readers is back this year, with a theme of "Inspirational and Motivational Reading". Expect a wide selection of books that inspire and motivate as well as appearances from a fantastic line-up of authors from this popular genre. On top of this, a series of seminars, workshops, and story telling sessions with celebrities and authors of renowned books will also be held for book lovers to enjoy!

Hong Kong Book Fair 2020 Regular Ticket Refund Arrangement

For holders of regular-priced tickets (HK$25 for Adults and HK$10 for Children) of the Hong Kong Book Fair, originally scheduled to be held from July 15 to 21 or December 16 to 22, 2020, and Super Book Fan Pass (HK$80), please pay attention to the following refund arrangements:

• Regular-priced tickets, super book fan cards, or e-tickets purchased through the "Octopus App"
• Refund date and time:
• Date: January 18, 2021 to February 19, 2021 (except February 11 to 15)
• Time: 11am to 6:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
• 11am to 2 pm (Saturday)
• Location and procedures:
• Please bring a complete valid ticket/e-ticket/superbook fan card to the following locations for refund procedures (photocopies are not accepted, valid tickets must clearly show the details such as the ticket barcode):
• Hong Kong Design Gallery: G/F, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Harbour Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong
• For tickets purchased through "Express Tickets", please contact Hong Kong Express Tickets directly for refund procedures.
• The refund or exchange arrangement does not apply to discounted admission tickets, VIP admission tickets, and coupons.
