2020 has been a challenging year for those HongKongers who are eager to travel. While international travel has been severely impacted, Klook started to promote staycation in March to let our users have a taste of vacation. Throughout the whole year, Klook has selected over 100 staycation packages. Klook Staycation Awards 2020 provides an opportunity to accomplish and recognize hotels that received positive reviews on Klook platform in 2020.

Judging Criteria

Klook Staycation Awards 2020 provides an opportunity to accomplish and recognize hotels that received positive reviews on Klook platform in 2020. There will be two categories, 8 themed awards (Klook Professional Judgement Award, Best Luxury Hotel Award, Best Family Hotel Award, Best Service Hotel Award, Best Design Hotel Award, Best New Hotel Award, Best Romantic Hotel Award, Best Themed Hotel Award, and My Favourite Hotel. Klook uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the awards honorees. It takes into account the reviews and opinions submitted by users on Klook, Klook Travel Experience Creator points, and Travel Specialists points.

8 Themed Awards

To qualify for the 8 Themed Awards, a hotel must maintain an overall star rating of at least 4 out of five (until 31st December 2020 23:59 GMT+8). Klook then takes into account the reviews and opinions submitted by users, and arranges Klook staff as mystery shoppers to the selected hotels forming Klook Travel Experience Creator points. At the same time, also have Siu C and Benedict Yuen as special judges forming Travel Specialists points. To qualify for the Klook Professional Judgement Award, a hotel must maintain an overall star rating of at least 4.5 out of five, have a minimum number of 100 reviews (until 31st December 2020 23:59 GMT+8).

My Favourite Hotel Award

For the “My Favourite Hotel Award”, it will be voted by the public from 30th December 2020 to 10th January 2021. The most creative answer will have a chance to win a 1-night stay at awarded hotel for free (Quota: 1), Klook e-gift card HKD$100 (Quota: 9).
