Tainan: A day trip to Qigu Salt Mountain, Chihkan Tower, and Anping Fort

Charlie Lee is a professional tour guide. He is proficient in English, Manderin and Taiwanese. In addition, he has profound knowledge in history, religion , and even philosophy. He was very patient with my three naughty boys. He not only explained the history behind every cultural sites in great detail, he also helped look after my kids, paying attention to my kids' safety. Without him as our tour guide, this fun and eductional trip wouldn't have been possible. Thank you Mr. Lee, for this unforgettable trip.

Booking a package tour with Klook was very convenient, and the driver provided excellent service. This time, we visited Qigu Salt Mountain and Jingzaijiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields, both of which were salt-related itineraries and great attractions.

This is a wonderful tour to see Tainan in a day! There was not enough time for certain activities, but our guide, Henry, was very accommodating. We had a great time with Henry, who has given us many wonderful insights of Tainan.

Our guide Charlie is very knowledgeable and gave detailed explanations. He also took many photos for us and even suggested which spot and angle to pose for photos. Our group size was only 3, glad that it did not get cancelled.

I was the only participant so I got a private guide and photographer. :) Charlie was great. He told me about the sights and helped me get good photos. My favourite was the tile-paved salt fields and we got there conveniently by private car. Public transportation would be impossible!

Stella is an incredibly thoughtful and professional tour guide. She always cares about every detail and makes sure everyone feels comfortable throughout the trip. Her itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to enjoy each attraction without feeling rushed. Stella also gave us many great local recommendations for food, shopping, and hidden spots. Thanks to her warm attitude and excellent organization, our journey was relaxing, fun, and memorable. I truly appreciate her effort and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and caring tour guide.

Our day tour got off to a rocky start when the car broke down, but huge kudos to our quick-thinking tour guide who arranged for another transport to pick us up promptly! Despite the drizzle throughout the day, we still managed to visit some amazing spots and had a great time exploring. Appreciate the guide's flexibility and efforts to ensure our tour continued smoothly. Only drawback was the weather, but that's beyond anyone's control! Overall, a enjoyable tour despite the initial hiccup.

Standing on the heights of Chihkan Tower, overlooking the entire urban area of Tainan, you can feel the historical atmosphere of this ancient city. There are also many precious cultural relics and inscriptions preserved in the building, which makes people feel like they have returned to Taiwan hundreds of years ago. > Anping Castle, which was once an important stronghold of the Dutch in Taiwan. The stone walls and historical relics inside the castle show the style of the colonial period. Strolling along Anping Old Street, you will feel a strong nostalgic atmosphere with the old houses and antique shops on both sides of the street. > Grand Tianhou Temple, one of the oldest Mazu temples in Taiwan. The temple is full of incense and has many believers. I was deeply attracted by the exquisite carvings and long-standing faith culture of the temple. Every statue and plaque here seemed to tell a story from the past. > Overall, this trip to Tainan Fucheng was not just sightseeing for me, but also a baptism of culture and history. Every street, every temple, and every plate of food in Tainan is full of traces of history and a sense of humanity, making you forget to leave. If you are interested in Taiwan’s history and culture, Tainan is definitely a travel destination you can’t miss.
