My family and I had a wonderful time throughout the 13 hour van ride from Christchurch to Queenstown. The cost of the tour is well worth it, since we were able to enjoy all the sights and stops we made. The snacks and lunch were also delicious and filling. Rosie picked us up from our hotel and took us to Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook, while Abbie drove us from Mt Cook to High Country Salmon Farm and then to our Queenstown accommodation. The ride itself felt comfortable and safe. There were 3 vacant seats in Rosie's van, while Abbie's was full with 16 people inside. This was a really fun way to get around. Will definitely recommend Cheeky Kiwi to friends and family!
I had a good time travelling from Christchruch to Queenstown. We were also stopped at several places like Mt. Cook, Tasman Glacier, Lake Tekapo, Lake Pukaki, Lindis Pass, Orchrdas and High Country Salmon. If you are travelling from Christchurch to Queenstown, you will be transferred into other van in Mt Cook. Don't worry, the driver is as welcome as the first one. Overall good experience, thank you!
This was a wonderful experience. We had 16 people in our group. Our Mini Bus was full. The luggage was put in the back in a trailer and locked up for the day. We felt like it was safe and out of the way. We traveled with Diana in the morning from Christchurch to Mt Cook. She was well organized and very informative all along the journey. We went to each stop and were given just enough time to get a few pictures, stretch, and use the WC. We stopped longer in a few places as needed, for coffee and pie and to purchase some salmon. Diana always had a smile and did an amazing job. Her mini bus was very comfortable. I am a bigger person as were many others on this journey. Her seats were more bench like and my back and hips felt great the whole journey. We exchanged buses after exploring around Mt Cook for two hours. At this point we were with Johnathan. We switched our luggage and got on his mini bus to head to Queenstown. His bus had bucket seats and the WiFi had issues with his microphone. The bucket seats are not comfortable. He needs a new bus (my opinion). Jonathan is funny and good with people. He is very smart and loves to tell jokes. His play on words is fun. He was also informative. We stopped at all the stops. At the end Johnathan dropped us off at each of our hotels. both of our driver/guides were exceptional. They both seemed to love their jobs. The tour is well organized and worth the money.
I highly recommend this trip if you are short on time and you want to do lake tekapo and mt cook while on your way to queenstown. it was a great experience and we managed to go to all the stops indicated in the itinerary. we were at queenstown at around 6:30 pm.
Our tour guide grand and Abby was very helpful and thoughtful all the way thru out the whole tour and the drop off too, would recommend cheeky kiwi to our friends and families back home
A good way to move from Christchurch to Queenstown. Cal, our tour guide, was very nice and have some interesting commentaries along the way.
Upon boarding, we were given a bag of snacks. The driver was also our guide and provided dedicated explanations throughout the journey, allowing us more time for hiking. The scenery along the way was beautiful, especially climbing Mt. Cook, which was stunning, and the other location was beautiful as well. It was truly worth participating. Lunch consisted of a bag with sandwiches, cake, and fruit. Lastly, the driver was kind enough to take me to my accommodation.
It was a small group but great. We visited many important attractions. Although the only drawback was that we only stayed at each attraction for 10 to 15 minutes because we had to catch up with the itinerary and the distance was far, it was a good idea for those who don't drive but want to visit several attractions. It's a great choice.
It is very convenient for tourists who don't drive themselves. It's a pity that we didn't stay long enough at each scenic spot to take good photos. It's a pity~~~
Amazing views and our guide . She was very nice . I enjoyed all trip And also good way to travel from Christchurch to Queenstown
