First stop to Bali! The ceramics classroom is a small classroom in the restaurant in RESORT. Judging from the decoration, it should be able to accommodate 6 people making pottery at the same time. The earliest time for the ceramics class is 11AM. Our flight arrived at the airport around 7:00 in the morning. It took about 40 minutes to drive there. We arrived quite early, so we had a buffet breakfast in the restaurant, which cost about HKD150 per person. There are two types of ceramics to choose from. One is to knead it and then order it to help color it. There are several colors to choose from; the other is to knead it and then design and color it yourself. We chose the first model because we felt we had no artistic talent. After the class started, the teacher first demonstrated the basic techniques, and then each person was given two clay blocks of about 1KG to start making their own works. Tell the teacher what you want to make, such as dishes, cups, bowls, etc., and the teacher will guide you. If the shape is broken, he will help correct it so you can continue, so don't worry. PS: 1KG can get 1 large SIZE work or 2 small SIZE works. The finished product can be taken away. Ceramics need to be air-dried for a few days, and then painted and then air-dried. Therefore, as mentioned in the introduction, it is recommended to leave about 14 days for the classroom to handle the follow-up work. We only have 8 days this time. The time is a bit tight. I don’t know if we can make it in time. If we can, the finished product can be sent to the hotel where we are staying for free. If not, we may have to pay international shipping to send it to our home or classroom. They said that they can help keep the works for one year. If you come back within one year or have friends come to Bali, you can ask to have them sent to the hotel or pick them up in person. After the whole process, I feel that the price/performance ratio is very high. I highly recommend adding this to your southern travel itinerary.
This was so much fun! Our instructor was very patient and helpful and we had such a great time here. We're given 2kg of clay with work with, and we get to keep 1kg of whatever we made. You can't take your items home immediately though, but they can mail it to you (at your own cost) or keep the items for up to a year so the next time you go back to Bali you can pick them up. I would highly recommend visiting Clay Craft Pottery if you're in Uluwatu.
※Once you make a reservation, you cannot cancel it! Make a reservation after checking the distance. I give you an apron, but it splashes all over your legs. (Maybe I'm not careful...) I don't know if the teacher has changed, but the teacher in charge is good, and I'm the only one who makes a reservation, so clay? 2 boxes. Only one was baked... It's a little inside, so go early and ask how to get around!
appreciate the attention from the instructor and taking the video/photos while we were finishing our potteries. provided the guidance and technique throughout with clarity.
What an interesting experience. This was my 1st ever pottery class, but the Bli patiently guide me on the process. This is a good choise if you want to have a relaxing trip ittinerary. Thank you bli yang aku lupa namanya.
It was a really good experience, having a seasoned instructor to guide you along. It takes 2 weeks to have the final product to be completed, so do plan your trip timing well if you intend to self collect. Nice drink after the session is included!
Fun experience, the class is private and teacher is very patient in teaching us the basis. Good for beginners to join!
Something new when you're in Bali, the studio was in the middle of their restaurant and the ambiance is really nice! The class was fun and it has a complimentary drink
I booked a class on a Friday. It was really private. I had one to one coaching. The instructor Budhi, has very good english and a lot of patience teaching. It was my first time trying pottery. He even gave me few other clay to play around once I’m finished with my project. After completing, he waited while I paint over my creation. All in all a very relaxing activity and would definitely try again next time!
This was so fun! my guide Suji was very patient and so sweet. It's a gorgeous setting, the resort is unreal! I was very proud of my creations and cant wait to see the final product.
