Exhibition Information
Makoto Fujimura, Shozo Michikawa: Dust and Gold (2025.09.28~ 2026.08.30)
Dust is impermanence, daily life, the residue and continuation of material weathering; gold is the flash of light, the precipitation of belief, the indelible echo of spirituality.
Two states of existence intertwined in the flow of time. Contemporary abstract expressionist artist Makoto Fujimura and ceramic sculptor Shozo Michikawa jointly present this exhibition, starting from their respective sensitive touch of matter and spiritual depth, weaving a poetic dialogue about time and matter. This exhibition is the first large-scale exhibition of the two artists in Taiwan, spanning 1992-2025, covering painting, sound installation and ceramic sculpture. Through the three sections of the exhibition, [Shining in Silence], [Blooming in Adversity], and [Walking on Water], it guides people to perceive the beauty of tranquility from natural minerals, light, and dynamic sculptures infused with natural energy, and open up a new perspective of turning to gentleness and firmness in the face of impermanence.
Ho Kan, Kwon Soon Ik: Roving Space-Time (2025.11.23~ 2026.11.01)
The exhibits span seventy years (1955 — 2024), covering painting, object installations and the artist’s early manuscripts, using a cross-generational and regional dialogue to reconvene the core spirit of “abstraction” in the East Asian context. Taking “form and qi” as the curatorial axis, the exhibits span 1955 – 2024, covering painting, object installations and the artist’s early manuscripts, and arranging perceptual rhythms through five exhibition areas: [Order of Form, Flow of Qi], [Re-Gazing at East Asian Abstraction], [From Static to Dynamic: Dots, Squares, Triangles], [Between Form and Qi: The Entrance to Eternity], [Painting is the Bridge Between Us]. At the same time, the cleverly arranged design furniture brings guidance to the viewing perspective and experience flow.
Jiro Kamata: Eye of the Sky (2025.01.10~2026.04.30)
Palm-sized miniature optical jewelry, carving the infinite imagination of cosmic light, and integrating the cross-border performance of art, fashion and astronomical science
《Moving Art — Eye of the Sky》, stepping into the world of Jiro Kamata's works, the audience will feel the time dimension from the starlight of the universe. The artist uses contemporary jewelry (miniature optical sculptures) combined with light refraction and innovative materials to create psychedelic artworks like black holes and galaxies. These works not only show the strange colors of starlight shining in the night sky, but also convey the fantasy associations of those invisible but existing in the universe.
