It is a hot spring with good slippery spring quality. There are four baths: lukewarm, normal, hot, and cold water, as well as a dry sauna, steam salt sauna, and cascading bath. Taking pictures in the bath is prohibited, but it is okay to bring your smartphone in, so I think it would be better to put it in a waterproof case and take a leisurely bath. When you arrive at Wulai Station (the last stop of the bus), call us and we will pick you up. I wonder if you can find out on the shuttle bus please. The coupon comes with a drink ticket, so after taking a bath, you can enjoy your favorite drink with toast at the cafe on the lower floor.
Visited during the day on a weekday. When I got off the bus from Taipei Main Station, I realized, “Is this the right road?” ? ? It takes about 15 minutes to walk down a road that makes you wonder, and the signboards have not been maintained at all, so I wonder if it's already in ruins? I was skeptical, but the inside was generally clean. When I entered the bathroom, it was quite crowded, and I guess everyone was there for about half a day. That atmosphere. There were supposed to be plenty of deck beds, but they were all occupied by towels, and there were almost no vacancies. . The most important thing is that the hot water is very good, and I especially liked the jet bath where you can enjoy the lukewarm water. The open-air bath is a little hot. It looks like it's going to be even more crowded on holidays, so I'll probably come back again on weekdays.
The bathing environment is very good, the scenery is beautiful, and the facilities are very complete. I have been there once and will want to go there a second time. The CP value is very high, and it is a place worth visiting again and again.
The semi-open-air hot spring house is great. There is a roof over the hot spring pool. Outside the pool, you can see streams, waterfalls, and mountain views. During the bathing break, you can enjoy the river waterfalls and breathe the natural fresh air. recommend!
The parking lot is large and convenient. This time I went to a hot spring house. The environment was not bad. There were even monkeys watching you on the mountain wall opposite. However, the drinks and meals included were really different.
The water temperature is very sufficient and there will be a 10-minute buffer time. The semi-open-air hot spring house is great ~ the service staff are also very nice
One of the highlights of my Taiwan trip was visiting Wulai. It’s a beautiful spot and perfect for anyone looking for a quick escape from city life. The hot spring experience was especially memorable, as it was my first time trying an onsen. The facilities were excellent, and it was nice to see locals in the bathhouse who seemed to already know each other, it gave the place a warm, community feel. Although none of the staff were proficient in English, they still made sure I was well taken care of. What made the experience even better was the free meal after the bath and the complimentary shuttle back to the town proper. Overall, it was a relaxing and worthwhile experience, and I would definitely come back on my next visit to Taiwan.
Hot springs are great! From Taipei Main Station, take bus number 849 to Wulai Bus Terminal. Google Maps says it takes about 16 minutes on foot, but we arrived late and took a taxi from Wulai Bus Terminal. When getting in a taxi, instead of saying the name of the hot spring in English, say "Mingtang Hot Springs?" so they know where it is. I found out that there is a shuttle bus from the hot spring, but I didn't know how to get on it, so I only took it when I went later. The staff are friendly and nice, but you can be seen from outside when you are in the hot spring, so just be careful about that.
There's a shutter bus to the hotel that comes every 30 mins. Nice music and ambience. You have to fill the tub yourself with the cold and hot water knob to adjust to your own liking. They also give a voucher to redeem complimentary drink and toast to wind down.
The pool includes an ice pool with 4 pools and 4 temperatures, one of which has many massage functions. There is also a sauna and steam room next to it, as well as a powerful water column pool. Well equipped and clean. The open space facing the uninhabited valley provides air circulation and privacy. It’s also a plus to have a simple meal after soaking in the soup.
