Shared Shuttle Bus between Taichung and Sun Moon Lake

convenient to redeem. many people waiting for the bus but very organised as they hand out number tags before boarding. took over an hour to reach Sun moon lake. return trip bus frequency need to watch in order to get back to Taichung in time.

You'll get preloaded easycard when you redeem the voucher, which you will use to tap/pay for the bus ride. We already had easycards, but we bought this on klook because of the discounts.

The busy stop is easy to locate. They will give you the easy card to redeem. Seat is comfortable and beautiful view along the journey

This is the perfect bus to bring you to Sun Moon Lake. save time and money if you intend to travel there without guide. suggest you purchase a boat ride as well.

Very convenient. Ticket area in Taichung HSR Exit 5 gave us easy card after checking our qr code and directed us to the bus. We arrived in SML area after ~ 1.5hrs. Bus back to Taichung HSR was in front of the 7-11 store, line was kinda long but we were able to ride on the second bus that arrived. Drop off point was the same area as pick up point. We used the easy card given to us to tap for the ride back.

There are many passenger buses from Taiwan to Sun Moon Lake. You can use the app to get the time.

easy way to travel to Sun moon lake. have to be early to redeem the number queue for the bus (avg about 1.5 to 2hr ) otherwise there will not be enough time for Sun moon lake

Took this bus while on bike tour to skip the climb up to Sun Moon Lake and it was a very easy way to travel. There is no cargo under the bus, but you can bring your bagged bike inside and put it in the luggage area. Be sure to board at the first or second stop to make sure there's room for your bike.
