What to expect
The Taiping Cloud Ladder, known as the highest and longest landscape suspension bridge in Taiwan, is located at the forefront of the Taiping Scenic Area, spanning between Taiping Mountain and Turtle Mountain in Chiayi. It is one of the best spots for viewing the Chiayi-Tainan Plain all the way to the Taiwan Strait.
Ascend the Cloud Ladder, and feel the gentle breeze of the mountains, with open skies and unobstructed views. On clear days, you can overlook the Chiayi-Tainan Plain, and when the clouds rise, you can experience the atmosphere of walking in the clouds. In the distance, the tea mountains are lush and green, and the mountains undulate, sending a faint tea fragrance in the breeze.
The bridge surface of the Cloud Ladder is designed with wooden planks for easy walking. The solid structure and materials ensure that you can hardly feel any shaking while walking. Through the hollow iron frame in the center of the bridge, you can overlook the green fields below. Visitors who want to experience excitement should not miss this place!
