What to expect
Jigokudani Monkey Park is famous for its snow monkeys who bathe in hot springs during winter. Covered in snow with relaxed faces, these charming macaques create an unforgettable, heartwarming scene.
Togakushi is a sacred place surrounded by nature and centuries of history. In winter, ancient cedar trees are covered in thick snow, turning the path into a quiet, silver corridor. Sunlight sparkles through snowy branches, and the Zuishinmon Gate stands solemnly, guarding this mystical shrine.
Note:The shrine is closed in winter, so this itinerary will only include a visit to the Suijin Gate.
