What to expect
A Trilogy of Surprise Dinner Parties to be held at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore starting year end 2025 annually. The parties revolve around a fictitious “more Crazy less rich” family – The Choos.
The series is sneakily dubbed The Choo CLANdestine parties. The Choos are ‘almost’ old money in Singapore and the region, having made their name in the Plastic containers industry. The Matriarch, Choo Kim Kim, otherwise known as Penelope Choo, is a widow who has found new zest for live and loves a good party. She has 3 daughters who take turns to be the ‘target’ of these Choo CLANdestine parties. At each of these parties, Penelope Choo, regales her local guests and overseas visitors with some new interest she has acquired, like Peranakan cuisine, or Chinese wedding traditions like the significance of the Tea Ceremony or the use of Feng Shui in everyday life.
Last year, the Choos raised the roof with mad-capped festivities at The Divorce Party. A truly Singaporean dinner theatre experience at a heritage landmark, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore.
This year in 2026, the Choo’s under their new CEO Phillippa Choo are about to launch a new biodegradable plastic. This is a fresh new approach for the family business, Choo’s Plastic soon to be relaunched and rebranded as Choo’s New Plastique.
