Mangrove Kayaking and Fishing Experience in Okinawa

My parents had such an amazing time today. Our guide was fenomenal. He explained everything and was there to guide us through the experience. We went on the kayak first it wasant to hot or to cold, very peaceful, and we got to learn more about plants of Oki. After we had a short break and went to the fishing spot. We were lucky enough to catch a fish and then they arranged with a local restaurant and it was fenomenal.

It was a 2-hour course (I think it will take about 3 hours to prepare for the trip and boarding). There are a total of 4 teams on board the ship and there is no bathroom. I went out on a boat and stayed in one place to fish. There were no stores nearby, only vending machines. It would be a good idea to bring ice water or something to drink. My child broke his hand on the fishing rod (slightly. No damage. Very serious) and he brought me a bag of ice. It was my first boat fishing and it was so much fun. Perhaps because I had a child, the staff took good care of me and even provided shrimp bait. Fishing methods are explained in English. If there's a tip, you should put bait on it, throw it into the sea, and keep releasing the line until it stops. Please remove the fish you catch and ask whether you want to keep it or release it. We were lucky enough that our family caught a total of 10 fish. The kids caught 3 fish each and had so much fun that they didn't even know how an hour and a half had passed, but the team right next to them had 3 people catch 1 fish. I saw someone catch two at once. I think the kids liked it more because there were a variety of fish species (this time they said red fish, striped fish, fish with teeth, etc.). We released all the fish we caught, but it seemed like we could cook the larger fish for an additional fee. It was fun for us to keep catching fish as we took turns, but some of the other teams were sleeping out of boredom or motion sickness. It was hot, so I sat down to rest for a while and felt a little nauseous. (It was okay to move again.) There was shade, but the sun was scorching and it was very hot on the boat, so my head hurt a little after fishing (both my husband and I). I also saw someone fall on another boat🥲 Anyway, it was a fun experience, so I think it would be good to try it with your kids. They say that children are the most memorable part of the trip. Oh, and I also saw a shark on the way back after fishing!!!! Two black shark fins visible above the water🦈🦈 ​

It was my first time kayaking and I had so much fun. The guide explained it very well. He also told some facts about the Mangroves. Sadly I got seasick during the fishing.

It was my first time to experience canoeing and fishing. The tour guide explained it in detail. I forgot to bring a change of shorts, but she also provided them for free, as well as slippers. The service was great and she helped take photos. The weather was good that day, suitable for novices to try canoeing. Visit places and spend a leisurely afternoon. This activity is easier than imagined. I had a lot of fun fishing in the afternoon. I harvested something under the guidance of the captain, and then went to process it afterward. It was delicious and satisfying.

The fishing trip was very nice but a little bit short we just fish small reef fishes. The crew was great and very kind with us, they took nice pictures of us! The boat was clean and safe, everybody onboard was using life jacket including the crew. I recommend to those who want to have a little fishing Expirience.

the guides were able to communicate simple english and made it very fuss free! it was a great family outing!

The tour guides are very friendly and although they don't understand much English or Chinese they still try their best to explain. A maximum of two canoes, one large and one small, can be used together. Three large canoes and two small canoes can be used as two canoes. Afterwards, the fishing experience was great. After the staff’s guidance, everyone of all ages benefited. In the end, you caught 6 fish and you can take them to the restaurant to enjoy the results.

The guides are very nice and the activities are interesting. Highly recommended!
