Reviews
easy to find the office, nice helpfull staff. boattrip of about 30 minutes brings you to this beautiful island. free sunbeds and umbrellas were included. great trip !
Fortunately, the weather was very good that day. The boat arrived at the island at 10:40 in about half an hour. It was very hot and sunny until 1 o'clock. I saw in the reviews that you need to make a reservation to rent a cabin, but there happened to be a spot that day. Although it was a bit expensive at 5000 yen, it was really good. It was too sunny because I didn’t have any water activities, so I rented a cabin. The cabin was very cool with the wind blowing all the time. I didn’t feel hot on the island. I also saw heavy rain on the opposite shore. It was really beautiful and relaxing. I would like to come again if I have the chance.
Excellent day trip to Naganuu Island! I highly recommend for travellers looking for a departure from Naha City. The island was small but a great place to chill out, enjoy the sea and the waters. It was still warm enough to swim in early November. Please note that the staff have limited English proficiency but the tour is well planned and the island small enough that you shouldn’t miss any announcements.
During my stay at Nagannu Island, the quiet atmosphere and serene scenery really put my mind at ease. In particular, taking a walk along the sea felt really good. Walking along the beautiful beach was like going to a mental retreat. The time I spent on Nagannu Island was truly meaningful and special. The beauty and peacefulness of that place deeply moved me, and I was able to feel Japanese nature and culture that are difficult to experience normally. After visiting Nagannu Island, I felt like the stress of everyday life had completely disappeared.
very pretty island and everything was so relaxing over there. rented a cabin and snorkelling set. Food choices were limited, but food tasted not that bad. Got super sunburnt there; I was too excited w the activities to remember applying Sunblock lotion again n again.
Nice island perfect for a half day getaway. Simple yet delicious lunch included. We ordered additional finger food to add-on.
I like this swimming experience because it has a lot of freedom. It’s all free time. You can do whatever you want on the island🤣 The sun umbrellas and deck chairs are free for parasail and snorkeling. The weather is very good, even while snorkeling. Encountered a turtle!!! Don’t worry about the language barrier, the staff can speak simple English and the instructions are clear. I spent a very happy time on this island❤️
Departing in the off-season, there are no Chinese staff on the island and no Chinese introduction. The relevant facilities are also in Japanese and English. It is difficult to communicate. I don’t know how to swim. If I want to snorkel, there seems to be no one to take me. I have to rent snorkeling equipment and play silently in the shallow area. Then I find other people. I feel sad to set off on a boat with snorkeling equipment ((I also want to follow, why no one told me, I don’t know what I missed. Deck chairs, sun umbrellas and lockers are free. I want to participate in many activities, but it is too difficult to communicate. I have money. I couldn’t pay in cash on the island and had to bring enough lunch, so I couldn’t force it, so I went parasailing (super faint) for 6,000 yen and pseudo-snorkeling in some areas on the island. In summary, if you want to do water sports, it is not recommended (if you are good at Japanese) It’s ok) You have to lie down on a recliner to be safe, so take motion sickness medicine.
What a great day trip to an outlying island. Because I like to play in the water, I chose Nagannu Island, which is the closest to Naha. It is a paradise, so beautiful. Although the island is small, it has complete facilities. There are restaurants at your own expense and snorkeling equipment for rent. The cabins provide shade, free showers, and a lot of snorkeling fish. It is a very leisurely way to spend most of the day on the island. Highly recommended.
such a great experience! The island was so beautiful! it was really easy to find the ferry terminal, the water was super warm, nice selection on food and drinks, and it was nice there were lockers. 5 hours was the perfect time! only thing i recommend is to bring your own towel, as they don’t have rental towels.
