It was a convenient way of travelling to more distant places. Even more convenient? You can get to places no train goes to, like udo shrine.
I had planned to see the Devil's Washboard at Aoshima in Miyazaki, but the low tide schedule didn't align. So, I first went to Michi-no-Eki Phoenix, spent two hours enjoying the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, then headed to Aoshima to see the shrine and the Devil's Washboard. Afterward, I returned to Michi-no-Eki Phoenix and Horikiri Pass, once again taking in the Pacific Ocean views. The weather cleared up for a bit, which was really nice.
I used it well when traveling by bus from Miyazaki to Miyakonojo and continuing with a city tour. 1) It was very useful for places like Kanbashira Park, Nishi-Miyakonojo Station, Shimazu Residence, and Haizu Park. 2) Buses are quite frequent in the main areas of Miyakonojo city, but in the outskirts, buses are infrequent, which was very inconvenient.
I booked this ticket for my trip to Takachiho, and received the voucher immediately after booking. Before use, I needed to enter my email and a verification code to activate it. On the day of use, I simply selected to use it directly in front of the driver, which was very convenient and saved a lot of money. Highly recommended!
When you board, take a numbered ticket. When you exit, simply show this screen to the driver. If you're traveling round trip from Miyazaki City to Aoshima and Udo Shrine, this pass will pay for itself, making it a highly worthwhile purchase.
I took a bus from Miyakonojo to Miyazaki, then immediately went through Aoshima and arrived at Horidoke Pass to view the Pacific Ocean. The weather was cloudy, but the view was still worthwhile and enjoyable. However, there aren't many bus services, so you need to manage your time carefully. I spent some time visiting the Aoshima Botanical Garden.
It's no longer about using QR codes; after sliding to use the button, a timer starts, so you have to open the app for the driver every time. It's very convenient to use. However, you need to pay attention to your internet connection quality. This time in Kyushu, I don't know why various apps kept getting uninstalled for no reason, requiring reinstallation. Today, I only realized the Klook app needed to be reinstalled just before getting off the bus, and I almost couldn't finish installing it before arriving at the station. The signal in the mountainous area wasn't very good either, which was quite a close call. Electronic tickets are very convenient and eco-friendly, but be sure to check and ensure a smooth internet connection. Next time, I might still choose physical tickets. 😂
Convenient and easy to use. I visited the shrine and Obi Castle Town, but unfortunately, due to time constraints, I couldn't make it to Aoshima and other places. The distances between each point are quite long, requiring a full day, so buying this ticket was definitely worth it. Transportation services included:
You can start using it after claiming it in the app. Simply show your phone screen when you exit the vehicle; there's no need to pick up a physical ticket on-site, which is super convenient.
