The tour guide was attentive and responsible, and their recommendations were excellent.
The driver was punctual and his services were initially reasonable. However, the tour was cut short and there were significant places in Nan’ao Island that were missed out. It even felt like we had to keep requesting for places to visit and that feeling of needing to “beg” to go places was highly unpleasant. Also, the whole trip was cut short and ended as early as about 4.30pm. I’m thankful that I paid for an upgrade for Satisfaction Guarantee and got partial refund claim approved. I cannot imagine how unpleasant it would have been if I didn’t purchase the upgrade.
Good to know
- A variety of car models are available: comfortable 5-seater cars, comfortable 7-seater SUVs, business 7-seater MPVs, business 9-seater MPVs, comfortable 14-seater minibuses, etc.
- If some attractions cannot be visited normally due to scenic area policies or weather conditions, other attractions will be arranged to replace them according to the actual situation.
- The exclusive private car package does not include a tour guide; the driver can only provide simple explanations and ticketing services.
- The itinerary includes travel photography with 4 scenic spots, 12 retouched photos, and all original negatives delivered.
- Chen Cihong's Former Residence in Shantou is closed on Mondays, so travel should avoid this day.
- Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center (Chao Expo Center) is closed on Mondays; reservations must be made in advance through the official account, and entry requires an ID card.
