Reviews
Definitely a classic must-do Hoi An activity. We were brought around by van to the Hoi An fresh market, rafting on a coconut boat, and to the Bay Mau for cooking by our one tour guide / chef. Highly recommend this well-organized local tour!
Wow! This was a fantastic tour. Communications before and during the tour were clear. The lights on the island were beautifully done. The Memories show was spellbinding! The actors poured their hearts into their performances. Thank you Hoi An for your hospitality.
I loved this cooking tour! First they picked me up from my hotel, our chef then took us to the wet market to get our ingrediants, then we drove to the coconut village. We had the boat ride first, and my lady was lovely, we paddled around she took pictures for me, I spun around in my boat which was really fun, watched a fishing demonstration, and tried catching crabs on my own, my lady and I failed. After that we did the cooking class, the Chef in charge was amazing. First we learnt and got to try making our own fresh rice paper, then we made 2 kinds of spring rolls, Vietnamese pancakes, beef salad, and beef pho. I was so full after, and they provide us with the recipes so you can cook again at home. Then they dropped us off at our hotels. Honestly such a great experience.
Trung was an excellent guide and we had so much fun. The market tour was interesting, the basket boat trip excellent (with lovely boat guides), and the cooking class was brilliant fun. We made delicious food, learnt a lot and had heaps of fun. Stunning setting. Highly recommended.
This tour was amazing and worth every penny. Trang our tour guide was so knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. The tour through the market was really cool to see, the coconut boats were fun and the cooking is a great learning experience. The food portions were huge with multiple courses. We were all so full at the end. They were very accommodating to our diet needs as well. Trang taught us a lot about vietnams culinary history. I would do this tour again on our next visit!
Despite the cool and rainy weather this was an amazing experience. The teching chef spoke excellent English, menu was great and delicious, shopping for ingredients and cooking were fun. Totally recommend it.
We were picked up by a driver in our hotel and drove us to Hoi An where we met our tour guide, Hon. Before we went for a basket boat ride, Hon toured us in the market to buy for our cooking ingredients that was done after the basket boat ride. We enjoyed both the basket boat tour and eco cooking. We witnessed the happiness of the basket boat people. We ate what we cooked and we loved it.
The cooking experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish! It began with a fun trip to the local market to shop for groceries, followed by an enjoyable ride in a basket boat through the beautiful coconut forest. Learning about the use of rice in Vietnamese cooking was fascinating, and the hands-on cooking session with four delicious dishes was the highlight. I really appreciated how they accommodated vegetarian cooking for me, even though the rest of the class was preparing meat and seafood dishes. The explanations and demonstrations were so clear and precise that every dish turned out perfectly. It was such a fun and engaging experience, and I can’t wait to try out the recipes at home. Highly recommend this class to anyone visiting!
Amazing experience. The guide was very patient and helpful. He took us to the market and brought ingredients that were needed for the cooking class. We went on coconut boat with an old lady and did fishing. She caught a little crab for us. The guide was also our chef. he taught us recipes and we made them. The food was delicious. Overall, worth the money. Must try if you like Vietnamese cuisine and love cooking.
Throughly enjoyed their tour, such an amazing experience. We started off at the local markets to purchase the ingredients. Then made our way to the coconut boats with friendly, charismatic boat rowers who took us around and dropped us off to the cooking class which I highly recommend trying!
