What to expect
Step into the elegance of Korean tradition with a hanbok photoshoot and rental experience in Seoul. Get styled with classic Korean accessories and have your portraits taken by a professional photographer. Choose from over 500 traditional and themed hanboks at Hanboknam Gyeongbokgung Store and enjoy a memorable photoshoot indoors or outdoors. After your session, explore Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, or Bukchon Hanok Village in your beautiful hanbok.
Follow the guidance of a professional photographer and feel like the main character of a historical drama. Capture unforgettable moments in a picturesque garden or scenic outdoor locations!
Good to know
- Available sizes for Female: XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL
- Available sizes for Male: S, M, L, XXL
- Each customer can choose a Hanbok design for 30 minutes and try on 2 sets.
- Please leave clothes and shoes in the locker.
- Use the store's changing room and ask staff for assistance with wearing the Hanbok.
- Late returns incur additional charges (Basic Hanbok: 1,000 KRW per 10 minutes, Theme Hanbok: 2,000 KRW per 10 minutes).
- For extended shooting time, purchase an additional hour during reservation. On-site extensions are not possible.
- Charges apply for damaged or lost accessories and locker keys.
- Participants must be 1 year or older.
- The same price applies to all ages.
- Refunds due to weather are not possible. We can change to indoor shooting in case of rain. Schedule changes due to weather can be made up to 3 days in advance.
- Arrive on time for makeup reservations. Makeup takes 40 minutes and Hanbok changing takes 30 minutes (about 70 minutes in total).
- If you want a photo shoot at 11:00am, book makeup for 9:30am.
- Original photos will be sent via email. Check your spam folder if needed.
- Inquire about retouching and printing services with the photographer.
- Special notices will be sent by email.
- For outdoor shoots, Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays. Shooting will take place at external locations like Gwanghwamun.

Had such a great experience here! The whole process was very easy and well organized, from choosing the hanbok and getting our hair done to the photoshoot itself. There were plenty of beautiful outfits to choose from, and everything went smoothly. Our photographer was super friendly, patient, and made us feel comfortable during the photoshoot. I wanted some nice photos since I was visiting on my own but the experience was so much more! The photographer was very friendly and had great locations and poses for all the photos!
Everyone here was super helpful! my husband and I had some trouble getting to the place and called to let them know we were running late to check in. They were very accommodating with letting us check in late and making sure we still had our indoor photoshoot. The photographer was super helpful and gave us poses to work with! And the hairstyle options that were free came out beautifully! I would definitely recommend trying this out on your trip! 😄💕
please note that the time you choose is the start of the photoshoot and don’t make the same mistake as us! you need to arrive to the place 1 hour before your scheduled time to pick the hanboks and get your hair done. we sadly missed this announcement and arrived exactly on our photoshoot time. thankfully, they are very accommodating and understanding they managed to schedule us for another time and we had our photoshoot. the photographer did a fantastic job getting our photos and telling us what poses to do. it was really a fun experience for us and will likely avail the service again on our next korea trip! thank you!
Amazing experience! Between the staff helping us choose which Hanbok suited us to the photographer posing us, taking our pictures, and just giving us a tour of the palace. I would recommend this for anyone visiting South Korea!!
I arrived later in the day (4pm) hoping it would be less crowded, but it was still busy in. Hanboknam. There were slightly less women's hanboks to choose from, but still a decent amount. The staff were natually tired,but still friendly. The indoor photo shoot was fun, it was at Eruda studio, about a 2min walk from Hamboknam. My photographer gave me good direction for posing as I'm not very natural at it. He was also flexible with my time slot as I was late from the long queues to fit hanbok. I only wish the photos were retouched as I'm ugly. I received the images online, and there were about 20 images.
Ms Kim was our photographer to help us with the photoshoot in our first Korea trip. It was a short delay but she was able to come back and walked us from Hanboknam store to the palace. It was a really cold winter morning and the shop was quite busy/hectic! Apart from the agitated receptionist staff amidst all the chaos, the range of hanbok for selection, professionalism of the hair stylist and photographer with their suggestions topped off the experience for our group of 6pax!
