Fantastic 5.0

It took about an hour by bus from the hotel to Colonial Guell, but we still had to walk a long distance to reach the heart of the area. After winding our way to the attraction, we realized we had to walk back down the hill to the Visitors Centre to register first! Fortunately, the best was yet to come, and finally witnessing Gaudi's masterpiece made it all worthwhile!

Great 4.0

Audio guides can be rented at the ticket counter, about a 2-minute walk from the crypt, by exchanging your passport. The crypt itself was compact.

I thought I was going to Park Güell, but I ended up at the Güell crypt... I searched for Park Güell on Naver, but I don't know why this came up, and the transportation information was so unhelpful that it took me forever to find. I'm never using Klook again.

Although it says it's open until 3 PM on Sundays, they actually stop letting people in around 2 PM, and the staff locks the door at 2:50 PM 😓 and leaves. His clothes even had the word "diswork" on them. You should come earlier, sob sob my ticket money.

Guide

Visit Colònia Güell Crypt. Explore at your own pace with an audio guide and see how Gaudí used the site as a testing ground for the Sagrada Família, while discovering the industrial colony’s architectural and social innovations.

The Gaudi Crypt, located within Colonia Guell, is one of the architect’s most remarkable yet hidden treasures. Commissioned by his patron, Eusebi Guell, with no budget constraints, it served as a testing ground for the construction of the Sagrada Familia. This masterpiece showcases Gaudi’s architectural genius, where he refined his techniques and explored groundbreaking designs. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005, it also became the first monument with this recognition to receive Biosphere Certification for sustainable management. Colonia Guell itself was an innovative industrial colony, incorporating both technical advancements and progressive social reforms. An audio guide, available in 10 languages, enhances your visit, offering insights into the architecture, society, and culture of the 19th century.
