Reviews
This was such a fun tour especially if you're a cat lover! Our guide was super informative and had lots of fun facts about cats and Japan. He also have us some really cool recommendations for restaurants and fun spots to check out. So much better experience than just visiting the temple on our own. Highly recommend!
We met up with our guide Hiro at the instructed place (which was right in front of the 3D calico cat billboard). Hiro was absolutely amazing! It was a very easy and informative tour to be a part of. Hiro had a lot of fun trivia and history facts about the Maneki Neko and cats. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves cats as much as I do! He was even willing to be your camera guy if you are a solo traveler!
Hiro was a great guide! we went on a Saturday expecting it to be super busy, but it was not bad at all! I think we came early enough before the crowd. we learned facts about cats, cat islands, and history of the maneki-neko! such a great experience!
Hiro was a great guide and made the traveling around Tokyo fun with info and cute quizzes for all the participants. Despite the say being rainy, we had a fantastic time and the area around the temple is worth taking some time to shop in. All in all, it was a fun tour and was a fantastic value for the price.
Starting in Shinjuku, we met our Guide Hiro beneath the giant cat billboard. He was engaging, informative and genuinely fun to be around. He took us to the cat cafe to meet some cats right around their breakfast feeding time. He helped the other members of our group navigate the subway to Gotokuji and we walked the streets to the Gotokuji temple. The temple and grounds are stunning, and Hiro allows you time to stop for photos or ask questions, dropping fun facts along the way. Afterwards, we went back to the shopping street, saw the cat train go past and purchased our souvenirs. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend it to any cat lovers who are interested.
outstanding tour. got to walk the streets of Japan. took the subway. checked out a delightful Cat Cafe and then we went to the shrine and it was really a great tour. can't recommend it enough. very straightforward. the guide Ruriko was outstanding very sweet and sincere appreciated her honest appreciation of the cats and the temple. we thoroughly enjoyed the tour
we had a great time on this tour. as cat lovers it was the perfect trip. Our guide, Hiro, was very friendly and knowledgable and kept us engaged the whole time. He even made sure we were able to have a look at the cat train as it passed through the station. an extra treat! The only downside would be that we didn’t have enough time with the cats at the cafe. By the time you’ve sorted slippers, bags and drinks it’s not very long to be with the cats. We also noticed that they were very nervous cats - maybe because they were waiting for breakfast time. Definitely worth going at feeding time as it was very cute. A really good tour for any cat lovers!
great activity. would highly recommend this activity. the guide was great and we were taken to several locations to see cat things. day was sunny and we would definitely book this activity again
