Reviews
More than just a tour, it was a powerful journey through history. Seeing firsthand how people lived, survived, and persevered during the war was both eye-opening and deeply humbling. Chow’s exceptional storytelling brought the past to life, turning every stop into a meaningful and memorable experience. His passion, knowledge, and engaging way of sharing history kept us captivated throughout. We left with a deeper understanding of the past, a profound respect for those who endured it, and an even greater appreciation for the resilience and strength of the Vietnamese people. This is a must activity when you visit Ho Chih Minh.
Really had a good time with our guides, Kelvin and Booky. Both are friendly and accommodating. The ride going to the Cu Chi Tunnel is also comfortable. This tour was also one of the highlights of my trip to HCMC as you get to see the tunnels up close. There was also a stop to a souvenir shop made by handicapped people before going to the tunnels, their crafts were nice!
The guide and driver were really good ,Tom and Jerry. Tom had prepared a lot of information on Vietnam that he will share while you transfer to the Tunnels. He also took Friday traffic into consideration and made sure we got back to Ho chi minh at a reasonable time.
A big thank you to Harry-Manke. who was our Guide for the trip to Cu Chi tunnels. He took us on a fascinating journey of Vietnam’s history, providing thought-provoking and contextual insights into our visit to the tunnels. Harry kept us engaged throughout with his humour and quizzes. Chu Chi tunnels was indeed an experiential with a slice of Vietnam’s history and i am going back to India, greatly enriched by the courage, intelligence, valour and sacrifice of the common people of Vietnam. Some feedback about food stops (that were optional): (1) Breakfast consisting of Banh Mi was positively BAD quality. (2) Lunch could have been better. The tapioca along with the peanut and sugar mixture served at Cu Chi Tunnels was delightful and refreshing. Thank you!
very accommodating because i requested them to pick us up at novotel saigon centre although is not in district 1. I expected to pay additional charges. that was very nice of them. our tour guide hau is very engaging and interactive with us during the whole tour. well spoken English and well explained of Vietnam history.
The informative tour was worth every penny. Our guide, Vi, conveniently contacted me through WhatsApp for the pickup details and picked me up at my hotel as planned. She was nice and knowledgeable, and she even had wet wipes for those of us who, after her explanation and instructions, chose to venture through the tunnels. Our hands got a little dirty in there! I learned a lot of interesting details about the tunnels. I suggest reserving a day for this tour because you'll be back at your hotel after 3 pm after seeing everything at a nice pace. As I enjoy learning about war history, this tour is definitely worth it.
If you’re in Vietnam, visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels is a must! The tour was an eye-opening experience, showcasing the incredible ingenuity and resilience of the Vietnamese people during the war. Our guide was super knowledgeable and explained everything in detail—from the clever traps to the underground life. Walking (and crawling!) through the tunnels was both thrilling and humbling. It’s a hands-on history lesson that stays with you. The shooting range and trying traditional wartime food (like cassava) were unique touches that made the tour unforgettable. Totally worth the price and time. I’d highly recommend it to history buffs or anyone looking for a unique cultural experience!
We had a fantastic guide, Viet, who was funny and kept the tour engaging whilst also telling second-hand stories of the war and the tunnels that he’d hear from his relatives/friends. Most of the time is on the bus as there is a lot of traffic out of HCMC, but once you’re there the tour is very interesting. Good lunch stop on the way back as the drop-off back in HCMC ended up being around 15:30.
the tour is well organized. punctual and precise at the time of the hotel pick up. The guide called us a few minutes before his arrival to let us know. the trip lasts 2 hours mainly due to traffic but during the transfer, the guide explained many things about the war and what we were going to see. Very good and very prepared. once we reached our destinations we were given the tickets and we began the visit. on the site you can do different activities. Trying the experience of closing yourself in the "hole" underground, if you are in the right mental context, really makes you understand the anxiety of hiding thinking about the enemy on the surface. it is nice to hold a k47 to shoot. it is a paid activity but I recommend trying it. the passage in the 100 meter tunnel is absolutely a must do. every 20 meters there are lateral escape routes to get out in case of discomfort due to the darkness, the lack of air, the heat and claustrophobia. I recommend holding on until the end, it is worth it. the return to HCM was on time as communicated at the start. an experience to try absolutely.
Our tour guide Ethan and our driver are very accommodating and welcoming. Ethan is very knowledgeable and explains the history well. Our driver is a safe and professional driver and gave us free water. The tour is such an experience. My recommnedation is to try the shooting range and go under the tunnel. The souvenirs in Chu Chi is very cheap. My family and I had a fun and memorable experience.
