Phoenix 3D2N Cruise: Ha Long Bay with Sung Sot & Ti Top

Great trip! Picked up from the hotel at the appointed time. The guide is a young man who speaks both Vietnamese and English (except for the fact that we do not speak either language) all the information presented was understandable, and the Guide also used a phone to translate into Russian. Many thanks to him!!! We also needed help in extending the Internet on a Vietnamese SIM card and the Guide helped us with this. On the excursions, he explained and showed everything in detail. We visited caves, islands, grottoes, swam in kayaks and a bamboo boat. The bay is magical, the beauty is indescribable!!! And now about the ship, a three-deck vessel with a restaurant on the 2nd deck and a recreation area and bar on the third. The ship was clean, the staff was young and friendly, everyone was very responsive. On the 3rd deck there are tables with chairs, as well as sun loungers for those who want to sunbathe. In the evening you can sing karaoke on this deck. I really liked that there were not many people, the music was not loud, for me it was a wonderful holiday in the bay among fantastic mountains. It is a pity that we had only 3 days, if you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, then you are here!!! There are some wishes, we had little time for sailing, it seemed that the whole day was ahead, but taking into account the program, the day flew by unnoticed. On board they fed, breakfast, lunch, dinner, The dishes were not spicy and from all the variety that was served, everyone could choose what he liked, drinks, unfortunately, are for an additional fee. Between lunch and dinner at about 16.30 on the 3rd deck you can drink coffee, tea, with snacks and have a snack of fresh fruit. Unfortunately, a small minus, but I think you will solve it without problems, these are cockroaches in the cabin, I am a prudent person and I had a repellent with me, but if it were not for them, I do not know how I would have slept. Overall, to sum it up, I can say that it was a great trip, with a great team!!

Husband and I enjoyed our 3d2n cruise for our honeymoon. Our tour guide, Mr Sea was very helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. The crew onboard were always smiling and genuinely concerned for our wellbeing. We loved the hospitality! The boat had about 10 rooms. The toilet has bidet. Our room was clean, the AC was cold, and the towels, toothbrush, soap and shampoo were provided. We were served multiple dishes of delicious food. You don't have to worry about going hungry! There were fun activities such as Hiking into caves, swimming, kayaking, squid fishing, karaoke, and cooking class. This is a highly recommended tour!

Memorable 3D2N on board, getting to know other tourists and exploring different activities. Guide and staff were helpful and extended help when my friend was unwell. Meals provided were good, room relatively comfortable, perhaps one of the day activities could be planned better rather than going to a similar pearl farm/cave. Learning how to make spring roll was fun!

We had a wonderful experience on this cruise. Staff and tour guide were so friendly. Be aware that if you book this, there is a duplicate activity of visiting a pearl farm, other than that the rest of the trip is great. Halong bay is beautiful.

Most people joined the 2D1N trip, and only 2 parties on our cruise joined the 3D2N trip. The itinerary of the first day was the same. On the second day, we joined a day tour on a smaller boat with people from other cruises to visit Lan Ha Bay. Therefore, I think this is how all 3D2N tours work in Ha Long Bay. On the third day, we joined our own cruise again (3D2N 3rd day itinerary = 2D1N 2nd day itinerary). Therefore, we had a different tour guide on the 2nd and the 3rd days. The service staff on Phoneix was all amiable and hospitable. The tour guide explained everything clearly. The cook on Phoneix was good. All the dishes were cooked well. Soft drinks/wine/coffee were not included. We paid for what we had drunk before we returned to the shore. Credit cards are accepted, but there will be an extra charge. The room was clean, but quite small. The facilities in our room were rather basic. The shower head did not work very well. However, with this price, I think the faciilities were still acceptable. We did see some fancy boats during our trip, but I guess the price will be double or even more.

We were so excited for this cruise and it did not disappoint. Immediately after booking, the cruise operator emailed me to confirm our pick-up and drop-off locations and also other details. My pick-up and drop-off locations were different but they were happy to accomodate. I also celebrated my partner's birthday onboard and they were kind enough to provide a complimentary cake! A quick look at our itinerary: Day 1 - check in, lunch on board, short climb up Ti Top island, cave exploring, squid fishing and karaoke at night Day 2 - visit to pearl oyster farm, kayaking, swimming, squid fishing and karaoke Day 3 - kayaking, check out, cooking class (more like how-to-roll-a-spring-roll class), lunch and depart Night activities were not compulsory, you can retreat to your room after dinner but we met the best and nicest people on the boat so we loved spending time with them. The crew on the boat were all really really lovely, and the lady who headed the crew on the first night even sang and danced for us! The guides were also all fantastic, except the one on the last day who was a bit snappy with all of us. All in all, a very memorable and wonderful experience, will remember this for years to come. overall is good, but itinery should be adjust a little but more due to we had visited pearl farms many times before. Foods though are pretty good and very local, for vegetalian they support very good ! The crews are good and tried to support you on everything, especially FINN, he is the best. Karaoke night should also be cut out for foreigners. The attractions are good but the activities should be a little but more diverse. In sum up, it is worth a money for joining the cruise. ps. the room is a bit small if you higher than 170 !

This was our second trip to Halong Bay. Before that was 4 years ago. In general, nothing has changed. And this is good. Last time we were with one night. This time with two. If possible, take two nights. You can't experience everything in one night. Everything about the service is excellent. Picked up from a hotel in Hanoi in the old quarter. Our guide Dan wrote in whatsapp in advance that everything was in place and at what time he would be at our hotel. On the way to the bay, the guide told us a little about Vietnam, Hanoi and Halong. On the way to Halong we stopped at a pearl factory. A short tour of how pearls are grown. Then there is the opportunity to buy something in the store. But no one is forcing you. If you don't want to buy pearls, there is a cafe where you can drink coffee. After this short stop we reached the pier. There was a short wait and we were transferred by boat to the ship, where we were to spend two days and two nights. Immediately upon arrival on the ship was settling in cabins. The cabins are quite comfortable. All have air conditioners that can work for heating. And this is necessary, since the temperature at night dropped to 18 degrees and below. If you can’t figure out how to turn on the heating on the air conditioner yourself, contact the team or the guide - they will help. After settling in, there was lunch. All meals on the ship consist in the fact that different dishes are brought to the table of 4-6 people in turn. The choice of the usual is large, and even if you don’t feel like eating something, you won’t stay hungry. After lunch, a short time to rest and then an excursion to one island with caves, and then to the second one with a viewing platform on the mountain. We were very successful at the observation deck - already when we were descending from it, it turned out that there was a line almost from the very bottom on the rise. And there 100 meters up. After returning to the ship there was tea/coffee and some fruit. After that free time and dinner. After dinner traditional entertainment "catch the squid". The ship's crew provides fishing rods and offers to catch squid. In general, nothing interesting and often to no avail. But in good company and under alcohol - it can "tighten". The next morning, we were transported with some of the other participants to an island with a viewing platform. It turned out that they collect tourists from different ships for a separate day on a pleasure boat. On this boat, we visited a floating pearl farm, then drove to the pier from where we could go kayaking - about 2 hours. Lunch was on the same boat. And then we were returned to our ship. There was coffee/tea, dinner and squid fishing. On the morning of the third day after tomorrow, we were taken for a short kayak trip - about half an hour. Upon returning, we checked out of the rooms and there was some time until the ship went to the pier where it all began. At this time, everyone was invited to participate in a master class on cooking spring rolls. When we reached the pier, we had lunch and were taken by boat to the pier. Where there was already a bus that took us to the hotel in Hanoi. This is the program that we had. Perhaps it somehow varies, because on the same ship there are people who have one night, and there are those who have two. While we were on another boat during the second day, the composition of passengers on our ship almost completely changed. Therefore, the team can change the sequence of excursions and trips. But it seems that the main points remain unchanged. What can be advised: 1. A lot of boat trips. You have to sit on it and then climb out. All this is on the water and swings. Therefore, it is better to have comfortable shoes. Any slippers are better to exclude. 2. Walking through the caves, and even more so climbing to the observation deck, requires some physical preparation. If there are any problems with the heart or health in general, it is better to warn the guide about this in advance. Perhaps they will offer some other option for a replacement. 3. Kayaking. If you don't have kayaking experience, don't worry. There are also large boats in which you can just sit and enjoy the beauty. No oars. If you want to bury yourself, then you need to consider that you can get wet. Therefore, it is advisable to have spare shorts or trousers to replace. 4. In January, of course, there is no time for swimming, but if you go at another time, then you should take a swimsuit / swimming trunks. Since the excursion program involves swimming. 5. Sunsets are very beautiful. But with sunrises, probably not very successful. I got up at dawn one morning - but nothing out of the ordinary. 6. You must listen carefully to the guide. Especially when he tells the program for the next day or for the near future. If something is not clear (especially the time for which you need to be ready) - it is better to ask again.

Really excellent trip. good communication great tour guides. if you do the three day two night itinerary you will see multiple guides and groups and this was a plus. The boat is lovely I was worried about it with so many varying reviews (of other boats) but it was lovely. the food was epic. and so much of it. very good value for money overall. Showers are really good and hot. Activities were fun and non stop. Would 100% recommend and have already recommended to a number of other travellers
